Sukiya Gyudon at Marina Square
#100WaysOfTravel
I recently visited Sukiya at Marina Square and had a pretty satisfying meal. The place is known for its gyudon, a Japanese rice bowl that’s both simple and comforting. What I liked about Sukiya is that they have different portion sizes, so you can go for a smaller bowl if you’re not too hungry, or get a large one if you’re really starving. They also offer toppings like cheese or kimchi, which adds a fun twist to the traditional gyudon.
The prices were pretty reasonable too, which makes it a good spot for a quick and affordable meal in the city. The service was fast, and the atmosphere was casual, perfect for a relaxed dining experience. If you’re in the Marina Square area and craving some Japanese comfort food, Sukiya’s gyudon is definitely worth a try!

Hot Pot at Marina Square
#wheretogo
Follow me and I will bring you to Shang Pin Hot Pot located at Marina Square and the address is 6 Raffles Blvd, # 02-102/102A Marina Square, Singapore 039594. They are open everyday from 11.30am to 11pm and you can use public transport to come here easily. The nearest MRT station are Esplanade/Promenade stations. It is also possible to make a reservation but just avoid peak timing if not your dining experience will not be so nice. They have many soup bases to choose from and you can select 4 types of soup maximum. I like their golden chicken soup and it goes well with all the meat dishes. You can also order half portion for their items then you can get to order more different dishes to try.

Just look at their signage and you can use Marina Square as main gathering point. They also have many connected underground walkways, and you can also walk all the way towards Funan Center too. You can visit here during Christmas and walk your way out around this area.

Kiztopia Indoor playground at Marina Square
#singaporetrip
When visiting Singapore, Kiztopia at Marina Square is one of the most popular indoor playgrounds for families with kids.
Kiztopia is one of the largest indoor playgrounds in Singapore, themed around a cast of 11 original animated characters. The play areas feature giant ball pits, trampolines, slides, climbing structures, sensory play and role-play rooms to name a few.
It is also conveniently located in Marina Square mall which boasts many food options.
We will be back!
My rating of this playground: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!

Naruto 20th Anniversary Exhibition
#singapore
I am a big naruto fan. Thus, I was excited when I heard that there will be a Naruto 20th Anniversary Exhibition to be held at Marina Square. I was even more thrilled that there was promotion at Trip. I went to book the tickets through Trip and went to attend the exhibition.
The memories and excitement flew though my mind as I went in for the exhibition. The familiar animation and music made me miss the anime.

any kaisendon you can think of!
With nearly 20 branches all over Singapore, @keikaisendon.sg ‘s extensive menu of Japanese rice bowls spoils you with choices of sashimi, teriyaki, beef… basically any don that you can name!
It took us some time to make up our minds as we wanted to try everything, but we finally decided on:
𝐄𝐛𝐢 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐤𝐢 𝐒𝐆𝐃 𝟐𝟐.𝟗
This was the perfect combination of two huge succulent shrimps and a generous serving of fresh sashimi, topped with loads of seasonings! The creamy mentaiyaki sauce tied the dish together with a wonderful richness.
𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐆𝐃 𝟐𝟏.𝟗
Topped with a small mountain of bonito flakes, the grilled salmon had a melt-in-your-mouth texture that was simply divine.
𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢 𝐒𝐆𝐃 𝟔.𝟗
The seasoned cod roe worked wonders to sharpen the distinguished flavour of the scallops, which lay on a bed of seaweed salad.
𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐒𝐆𝐃 𝟒.𝟗
We saw that almost every table ordered this silky steamed egg, which was definitely worth the money, as it was full of succulent pieces of shrimp, squid, and even abalone.
(also featuring pics from our visit at their JEWEL branch)

Aji Ichi Japanese Dining at Marina Square
We were at Marina Square finding a place to have lunch and chanced upon Aji Ichi, a Japanese restaurant with a very welcoming shop front. The decor is warm and cosy with traditional Japanese vibes. But what drew us in were the friendly staff who greeted us and gave us good recommendations on what to eat. We had the bara chirashi don, katsu chicken don and a spicy salmon maki roll to share. The food came quickly and fresh from the kitchen and that was a huge plus as we were starving by then. Food was good and value for money. Come by and try it out if you are in the area.

Victoria Bakery - Aesthetic Bakery & Cafe
Check out a new bakery in town that can rival any big brand names here and that is Victoria Bakery. The shopfront is extremely aesthically pleasing with bright and modern decor. It is not only a bakery but also has a in house cafe where you can sit down and have a coffee together with their buns or pastries. Their selection boosts a wide varitety of familiar favourites like luncheon meat bun, polo bun with char siew or plain and egg tarts. I bought a couple to go and they were very packed in lovely boxes and paper bags. They were delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed them!

Marina Square kiddy rides
Right outside the arcade zone and along Encik Tan’s restaurant, you can find many kiddy rides here. It is a hot spot for the younger children who are more interested in less thrilling rides. This shopping mall is great for families because there are many indoor playgrounds, restaurants and entertainment for families. It is also linked to several hotels around this area and a weekend staycation is recommended too. Time to have more fun in the new year.

Makan Makan At Marina Square
Address - 6 Raffles Boulevard, #02-201, Marina Square, Singapore 039594
Ambiance/Facilities - Large seating area with plenty of seats and tables to accommodate bigger groups of people. Sporting rice paddy-patterned wallpaper, with vintage oil lamps hanging from the ceiling, the restaurant gave off a comfortable and laid-back vibe.
Highlights - Thai 🇹🇭 Sauce Fried Beancurd was delicious.Sambal was fragrant and spicy.Ambience was nice
Avg. Price per Person - SGD20
Rating - 7/10
Recommended dishes will be Thai 🇹🇭Sauce Fried Beancurd and Ayam Penyet D’Penyetz.
Thai 🇹🇭Sauce Fried Beancurd was easily my favourite dish because of how simple yet flavourful it was.
For Ayam Penyet, what first hit me was the strong aroma of spices accompanied by pungent, spicy notes from the sambal. The chicken 🐓piece was also huge, sporting bits of crispy flour crumbs on its skin.
Do head down early if you’d like to avoid the lunch crowd!

Rolling Rice to korea in Singapore
#celebratewithtrip
i may not be a lover of Korea’s many K-dramas and K-pop bands, but I am definitely an ardent fan of their food. Like many, I enjoy Korean food for its balance of sweet and spicy flavours. Thus, I needed no convincing to pay a visit to Rolling Rice, a Korean restaurant that serves over 10 types of gimbap and tteokbokki. my favourite korea food place in marina Square. Great for families and friends.

Travel Essentials
6 Raffles Blvd, Marina Square, #03-124 to 127, Singapore 039594
The planet traveller is a travel essential shop where you can get everything related to travel in their shop. The first thing that comes to my mind would be luggage. They do offer an assortment of luggage in different designs and sizes. They also do have back packs for those who want to go for a hike.
Apart from the travel essentials, they do sell pouches, purses, wallet, and other bags too. They do have sales from time to time. Do visit their shop frequently to check out the ongoing promotion that they have.

Shop in a box
6 Raffles Blvd, Singapore 039594
I love how the concept of a shop in a box was seen at the marina square. The shop owner placed some of their best selling items inside the transparent box, and placed them in the middle of the walkway along the shopping mall. While doing your shopping, you will definitely pass by those shops in a box. You will definitely be attracted to the box as they are very bright. A peep inside the box, you can discover the things that you like. You can then look out for the shop name and check out their directory within the mall. This is a very creative way of introducing their products to the consumer.

Toy Fair @ Marina Square
6 Raffles Blvd, Singapore 039594
There is a small toy fair ongoing at the marina square atrium. You get to save more when you purchase more. I went in to have a look at the small booth. I did love the fact that they placed some seats and tables with lego blocks and drawings, to keep the children busy with their games. They can sit there and spend their time colouring the art piece while their parents shop for their favorite toys.
Personally I feel that the price of the toys are on a higher side. However, as the Christmas season happens only once in a year, parents might not mind spend abit more for their children.

Christmas at Marina Square
6 Raffles Blvd, Singapore 039594
Marina square is getting prepared for the upcoming Christmas festive season. Are you ready yet? The marina square atrium has now been decorated with Christmas theme decorations. There is a giant sweet going together with the pinkish Christmas theme. The place is filled with a festive atmosphere. It is as if Christmas is just round the corner. Be sure to bring your children here to take some pictures, which will leave them with a very good memories at the marina square mall. There are lots of parking lots at the basement level, and the parking rates is reasonable.

Marina Square Putien
Address - 6 Raffles Blvd #02-205, Singapore 039594
Avg. Price per Person - 20++
Putien is one of my go to chinese restaurant! Tried the marina square outlet this time round. Not sure if it is just this outlet or also others, but their cup of drink is so small. Taste wise was ok though.
Ordered mee sua and oyster omelette. Mee sua is ok. I prefer their lor mee or cha fen. Oyster omelette was also average.
As usual, love the putien chilli!

LMOOLM
Hong Kong Zhai Dim Sum Restaurant
Address - 6 Raffles Blvd, #02-234/ 235/ 236 Marina Square, Singapore 039594
Ambiance/Facilities - The restaurant is tucked away at a quiet corner of the mall. It is situated near the Putien Restaurant. The seating area lines the exterior of the restaurant and it can be a little awkward when people waiting in the queue watch you eat. The restaurant practices self service concept whereby customers order from the machine or scan the QR code on the table. Customers are also expected to collect their own food when the LED flashes your order number.
Highlights - There is a wide variety of food available on the menu including steamed, fried, baked dim sum, and main dishes such as noodles and porridge. I was unable to try every item on the menu but out of the items which I ordered, my favourite dish is the wanton noodles, which is served with five fresh and plump prawn wantons. Unfortunately, they do not serve hot Hong Kong milk tea. Iced milk tea was kind of sweet but the melted ice diluted it.
Avg. Price per Person - $20
Rating - The food quality is acceptable considering the prices here are quite reasonable. However, do not expect it to be as good as other well-known dim sum restaurants like Canton Paradise.

Famous Star Patty 🍔
#moreinsg
I was in the area nearby for work and as it’s the school holidays, it was the only place with no queue so I went in for lunch with my colleagues.
I tried their “famous star” burger and upgraded my drink to a milk shake. The famous star is a charbroiled all beef patty. Usually I might change to beef chilli cheese fries but I had no time to eat. So I didn’t. The burger was a little dry to me. Again I’m not the right person to ask.
And to be honest I was quite sad they didn’t sell other sides like maybe drumsticks for people who don’t like burgers 😅 as I am not a fan burgers. But definitely wouldn’t mind patronising a store if it saves me time and my companions can eat what they like. So remember if there are long queue or if you wanna save time in a staycation you can try buying a burger instead.

Sukiya hotpot buffet
#moreinsg If someone from Singapore, tells you that they want to have Sukiya for a meal, you best be sure to find out whether it is the rice and noodle franchise or the steamboat buffet franchise.
For this case, we went to the steamboat version of sukiya, the steamboat version that we went for, we chose the premium Buffet where we can get access to their best meat in iberico pork, salmon, mussel and scallop.
You can also get a top up for free flow drinks and after the buffet, you can even get a complimentary ice-cream to end of this perfect meal, the choices are chocolate, matcha, vanilla and coconut and the ice-cream dont taste cheap!

Toki Doki Photoshoot
#mustvisit Marina Square for their tokidoki photo booth display. This shopping mall always have some interactive and attractive art displays. Suitable for youngsters and kids. Although there are not many stores and visitors, only during certain time this place is very crowded like on national day preview so suitable for introverts if they want to shop around during weekdays. Need to monitor when is more suitable time to hang around.
There are many photo spots for this display with different design of toki doki. Art doodling also available while space left. Do check it out before its gone!

Kiztopia @ Marina Square (so huge!)
Kiztopia @ Marina Square
Address - Marina Square, #01-09, Singapore 039594
Ambiance/Facilities - Huge indoor playground
Highlights - Different activities
Avg. Price per Person - $30
Rating - 3.9/5
Kiztopia @ Marina Square is a very popular indoor playground among the children! This is their Flagship outlet in the central area. There are different price depending on the hours you plan to play. 1 free adult is allowed in with 1 child tickets. Addtional adult ticket cost $12 which I find it quite steep since parents normally only follow the kids and not exactly playing. But, the playground are actually quite high like 3~4 "floor" up so prepare to do alot of climbing and bending down. The slides are pretty fun too since it's quite high up. There are also toddlers area for smaller children to play as well and a lot of pretend-play items. Rest room are at the back of the playground, not within.

Ambiance/Facilities - Quiet, corner of the mall
Highlights - Tasty
Avg. Price per Person - $13
Rating - 4/5
Located at Marina Square at a corner is Jia Xiang Sarawak Kuching Kolo Mee. This local eatery has actually been around for the longest time. We pass by there one weekend evening and there was no crowd at all thus we decided to eat here to see if its taste the same like last time. It used to be my favourite whenever I come to this mall.
Taste wise is actually not bad still taste the same as my memories recalled. Super quick services as well. They gave us so much noodles for kolo mee too! Even the curry base sauce came with so much potato and chicken we cannot finish at all.
The price may be on a higher side since it look like simple food but I ensure you it taste good! Wish they open an outlet in the east part so that I can support them more.

Delicious Western food
#musteat truffle pasta at Beyond Pancakes! Price is affordable. It's also nice, creamy and can taste truffle although not so strong. Staffs are friendly and enthusiastic when they served us. We reserved first before coming in. Didn't expect that they would reply on the day itself. Before we finish our meal, they gave us complimentary ice cream! 😋
Do note that they only operate until 10pm, but last order is by 9pm. This is one of halal restaurants in Marina Square located at level 3, hidden behind gloria jeans, in front of sofra. Ambience is like in open space, but quite nice and comfortable place to have conversation/meeting/gathering.

Arts @ MRT - Promenade
This is part of the Arts @ MRT which is known as Art in Transit by LTA. From the website, it is Singapore’s largest public art display at MRT station. At first when I saw this wallpaper at Promenade station, I thought I saw a kueh lapis. But in fact it is the “geology and traditions of Singapore, focusing on the layers of cultural sediments. There are also many photos on display around the station. For example, The tunnel vision which was one of the winning photos taken during the Downtown Line construction. Also, when you take the exit towards Millenia Walk, you will see a sunroof and futuristic artwork hanging from the roof.

Self Service Condiments/Drinks Back
📍6, Raffles Boulevard, #01-202 / 203 Marina Square, Singapore 039594
Carl's Jr., a US fast food restaurant, has a total of 6 outlets island wide. I just visited the Marina Square outlet and self service condiments and drinks are back in the restaurant. You may help yourself to the Fresh Salsa, Jalapeno, and also the various sauces such as Salsa & Barbecue sauce.
The beverage corner at the restaurant is also self-service with selections of soft drinks, Iced Tea, Lemonade. Sugar syrup and cut lemon are also available as well. Drinks at Carl's Jr are also free-flow at just $3.90 at Marina Square (not sure if it's the same price at all outlets).
You can also request for more vegetables (just lettuce) for your burger too. Food are freshly made and served to our table by the staff.
