If you are tired of city life and just want a weekend away to relax and spend in nature...this is the place to go. It's about 16km from Tonglu and 70km from Yiwu. It's absolutely worth it to there and enjoy the peace and nature.
Getting There - I would recommend you go with your own car or get a driver to take you. I got a driver to take me and came back to get me since there are no Didi's.
Attractions - Breathtaking views of nature, fresh air, you can walk for kilometers on end and just enjoy the peace and quite. You can walk through the Ancient Town that's very characteristic and beautiful to take pictures off.
Hotels - The Sky Hotel
Food & Restaurants - The Sky Hotel have their own restaurant and the food is really good although you need to wait quite a while for the food.
Shopping - No shops

I know that Fuchun Jiangmei of Tonglu, but I dont know that the ancient villages hidden in the Fuchun River are so beautiful. The village of Luping, with its beautiful scenery, has a history of more than 700 years. A heavy snow has made the ancient village without any embarrassment even more quiet. Who would have thought of such an original ecological village, there would be a boutique B&B, used to live in the city, you can also stay here for two days, maybe you will appreciate the unique scenery.

Hiking can truly heal the soul, so hurry up and copy this parent-child hiking route to the ceiling
Route: Lutz Village - Take a taxi to Shishe Village - Maoping Village - Baibu Street - Xiekengkou Village - Back to Lutz Village, about 12km in total
【First Section Shishe Village】
1. It's hard to hail a taxi, it took half an hour to find one... If you really can't find one, there's a bus every half hour
2. The shops in Shishe Village are quite interesting, like the 'Panic Yarn' store. Many people recommend staying in Shishe, but I didn't see many guesthouses actually
3. The most beautiful view of Shishe Village is at the beginning of the ancient trail, where you can see the panoramic view of the village and the S-shaped river, surrounded by green mountains and waters – it's simply wonderful~
【Second Section Maoping Village】
1. The signs on the ancient trail in Maoping Village are not very clear, we felt something was wrong and took a wild path down the mountain into the village halfway. The villagers said the ancient trail stops here for a while, and the second half continues from the bottom of the mountain
2. There's a small market in the village center square, bought a bottle of beef sauce which tasted good, zongzi and fermented rice dumplings were also delicious (probably because we were hungry, there seems to be no restaurants in the village
3. There's a beautiful ancient bridge, and under the bridge, there's even a 'Bridge Hole Coffee' hidden, you have to admire the owner's creativity! On both sides of the bridge hole, it's like a barbecue camp, several tables of people are enjoying their drinks, under the green trees, over the green river, with a breeze blowing, it's just too comfortable~
【Third Section Baibu Street】
The new section of the ancient trail, from the mountains to the fields, passing through large farmlands, comes to Baibu Street Pavilion, next to it is a thousand-year-old camphor tree, which commands respect
【Fourth Section Xiekengkou Village】
Walking forward to the main road, following the steps of a teahouse down, there's a half-moon-shaped dam, you can walk across, but your shoes might get a bit wet in the middle. The shore is a bit slippery, be very careful! We witnessed a boy falling into the water, it wasn't deep and not dangerous, but it was really embarrassing..
【Fifth Section Lutz Village】
1. On the way from Xiekengkou to Lutz, we crossed another green mountain and a maple forest, and met a sexy little wild cat rubbing against our legs, couldn't help but stroke it a few times
2. Finally, we successfully returned to my great Lutz Village, I thought 12km would be difficult, but after walking and stopping for five or six hours, I didn't feel tired at all
3. Decided to treat myself in the evening, went to the best barbecue restaurant in town recommended by the villagers, local specialties like grilled fish tail and stinky tofu were all good (ate back all the weight I lost today). After eating, went for a foot massage, couldn't find a very formal one so settled for one, but didn't expect to be able to sing karaoke in a foot massage shop haha
In the end, I don't know who designed the Malingshan Ancient Trail, but I'm very grateful. From the mountains, fields, waters, to the forests, each section is full of wild fun and surprises. Special praise for the small canal that accompanied us all the way, clear and lively, picked a small flower along the way and put it in the canal, then followed the speed of the flower drifting, and realized that not rushing and walking slowly feels really good

Maoping Village in Tonglu
Maoping Village was established during the Song and Yuan dynasties, with a history of over 700 years. The village is located in the southeastern part of Fuchunjiang Town, Tonglu County, nestled in the midsection of the mountainous gorge of the Luci Stream basin. The majority of villagers bear the Hu surname and the village is one of the main settlements in the Fuchun River rural slow living experience area. The villagers live off the mountain by making charcoal for a living, selling charcoal as a trade, and becoming wealthy through charcoal. Through the relentless entrepreneurship of generations of villagers, Maoping became a prosperous and affluent village in the western Zhejiang region by the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. To this day, it retains a good number of ancient sites including the Maleng Ancient Trail, the Renshou Wanfu Ancient Bridge, and ancient trees like the cypress, camphor, and Huanglian, as well as more than twenty ancient residential buildings such as the Hu Clan Ancestral Hall and the Wen'an Building.
We drove to Shishe Village in the morning and passed through Maoping Village on the way back, taking a right turn onto a bridge and then a left turn along the stream to enter the village, where parking is free.
Maoping Village boasts clear mountains and beautiful waters, simple local customs, and a profound cultural heritage. The honest and enthusiastic villagers welcome guests from all directions.

The gem flower on the wall Village
2023.04.30 Hiking in the ink painting-like Maoping Village, I had been to the nearby Malin Ancient Trail before...
This is Maoping Village, under the jurisdiction of Fuchunjiang Town, Tonglu County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, located in the southern part of Tonglu County, it is one of the most remote mountain villages in Fuchunjiang Town, and now it is one of the main villages in the Fuchunjiang Rural Slow Life Experience Zone. The village was established during the Song and Yuan dynasties, and it has a history of more than 900 years. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, an ancient road paved with cobblestones runs through the village from north to south. There are Linggu Temple, Baibu Street, Renshou Bridge, Huanglian Ancient Tree Group, village entrance narrow path, Hu's Ancestral Hall, Dongshan Academy, Wanfu Bridge and other historical sites in the village. Among them, Hu's Ancestral Hall, Wen'an Building and other ancient buildings have been listed as county-level cultural protection units.
Orange cats, bamboo firewood, cherry morning glory, green bricks and mud walls, pavilions and corridors, fishing nets drying in the wind, the source of water here is Baiyunyuan Reservoir, the scenery is beautiful like an ink painting, Maoping Ancient Village is indeed a good place worth visiting, walking in the alleys here, it seems to go back to the time when we were children going to school, running and playing hide-and-seek with classmates in the alley, we are constantly looking for the memories of childhood, any similar scene will make us feel very emotional, grateful for this beautiful ancient road and village, which reminds us of the beautiful childhood, but we can never go back...
Just, this gem flower on the wall, it's so much like the one on the eaves of the old house when we were children
