Mangrove Shinsol in Dongdaemun-gu was a great value hotel for solo travelers 🏨 [Recommended points] •Great location, just 3 minutes walk from the station •There's a cafe nearby, so it's easy to go there when you feel like going •There's security →You can't get the elevator without a QR code, and you can't get into the room without entering a code •The bed is hard, so you don't get a sore back after sleeping [Slight points] •The bathroom isn't very clean →When I got into the room, there was a lot of dirt on the bathtub, and the smell of the rubber mat lingered in the bathroom... •Amenities (bath towels) →The bath towel smelled like a rubber mat, and it was a strong smell when I wiped my hair It was less than 20,000 yen for a 2-night, 3-day stay on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in December, so overall it was good value for money◎, but I think I'll bring my own bath towel next time I stay here. During my recent trip to Seoul, I had the chance to stay in three different room types at Mangrove, and it was truly fascinating! This guesthouse opened two years ago, and I remember my favorite blogger using one of the room layouts for an exhibition. I even saw the poster from that time in the elevator, which instantly boosted my impression of the place. Although the space isn’t very large, it’s thoughtfully designed to be cozy and comfortable. Each room type has its own unique style. For instance, one of the rooms I stayed in featured a combination of yellow tones and wooden elements, creating a warm and stylish ambiance. The wall lamp design was particularly special. The details were also well-considered, like the small refrigerator conveniently placed under the bed. However, the cleanliness was just average. But considering the price, the value for money is quite good. Plus, the guesthouse is located in Sinseol-dong, surrounded by countless delicious eateries. It’s super convenient to explore and enjoy local food. At night, you can easily find a small shop to try some local snacks, which is such a delightful experience! If you love compact yet beautifully designed Korean-style accommodations, appreciate a sense of design, and want to explore local cuisine, Mangrove is definitely worth a try. It might just surprise you in unexpected ways!

I stayed for two nights! I checked in using an unmanned touch panel! I scanned the QR code to check in with my phone, but at first I was panicked because I couldn't enter my name. In the end I was glad that I entered the number I used when booking the hotel. When getting on the elevator, you scan the QR code that appears when you check in, then select the floor number and it will move. I stayed for two nights, but two sets of towels and two bottles of water were prepared, and it was a very kind and clean hotel! ️ It was very close to Shinseoldong Station, there was a Seven-Eleven below the hotel, and Oriyang and everything was within walking distance, so it was god! You can also go to the rooftop by scanning the same QR code as the elevator in front of the door, and the door will open! It was so beautiful! I will definitely come again!

#Spring0yenTrip The hotel we stayed at on our girls trip to Korea was great! ☺️ Mangrove Sinseol is very conveniently located, just a 2-minute walk from Sinseol-dong subway station, and there are convenience stores and Starbucks nearby, so it was very convenient during our stay. The hotel features a simple and clean design, and is well-equipped with a shared kitchen and laundry facilities, making it suitable for long-term stays. The shower drainage seemed a little poor, so you need to be careful when using it. Also, QR codes and passcodes are used for check-in and room entry, so if you are familiar with using smartphones, you can use it smoothly. I didn't have a specific place to check in, but when I arrived at the hotel, I saw a staff member, so I called out to him. The staff spoke English, but please note that there are no staff members who speak Japanese.

I chose a single room because I was traveling alone, but the room was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable and the interior was pretty, so it was good for taking pictures📸 I heard that the common areas were well-maintained as expected of a coliving space, but unfortunately, when I went, it was under maintenance, so I couldn't use it,, I was able to stay comfortably for a good price, and it was an overall satisfactory stay, so I want to stay again next time I come to Seoul! 😍
