Arriving in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, for the first stop of our spring vacation is an exciting experience. Manas International Airport may be small, but it’s easy to navigate, making the arrival process smooth and hassle-free. After stepping off the plane, passport control and baggage claim are fairly straightforward, and soon we’re out in the arrivals hall, ready to start our adventure.
Taxi drivers eagerly offer their services, sometimes a bit persistent, but nothing a polite “no thanks” can’t handle. For those needing to stay connected, several small shops inside the terminal sell local SIM cards at unbeatable prices; less than €3 for a week with unlimited data and 100 minutes local calls, a great deal for travellers! There’s also a money exchange counter, though the rates aren’t the best, so it’s worth exchanging only a small amount for immediate expenses.
A small convenience store offers snacks and drinks, perfect for grabbing a quick bite before heading into the city. Instead of taking a taxi, we hop on Bus 153, a budget-friendly option at just €1.60, which takes us straight to Bishkek’s city center. As the bus rolls through the outskirts of the capital, we get our first glimpses of Kyrgyzstan’s unique blend of Soviet-era architecture, tree-lined streets, and the distant, snow-capped peaks of the Tian Shan mountains—a promising start to our spring adventure!

It's not a lounge that you have to pay to enter.
If you have a lounge pass that you don't use, it will disappear or you have to throw it away anyway,
Go there.
There's nothing to expect from the food and drinks,
and you can sit a little more comfortably while waiting.
