[2025 Fujinomiya Attraction] Travel Guide for Makaino Farm (Updated Feb)

At the beginning of April, I had the chance to visit Makaino Farm, located at the foot of Mount Fuji, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! As soon as I arrived, I was captivated by the vast, open space with rolling green fields and sheep leisurely grazing. The sky was clear that day, with clouds gently drifting around the peak of Mount Fuji, creating a breathtaking, almost fairy-tale-like scenery. My favorite part was getting up close to the sheep, petting them, and feeding them—a rare experience for someone living in the city. The farm also offers many fun activities like horseback riding, making fresh cheese, and enjoying rich, creamy milk ice cream. This is definitely a perfect destination for those who love nature, animals, and photography. If you ever visit Fujinomiya, make sure to stop by Makaino Farm!

Although the farm is located in a relatively remote area, you can reach it by taking the S4 bus from Kawaguchiko Station! However, be mindful of the sparse bus schedule, so make sure to check the times carefully! There are many photo spots on the farm, and my favorite is the swing on the cover. But be prepared to wait in line because the swing is at the top of the hill, and once you sit on it, you might feel like you're going to roll down the hill 😂 Make sure to hold onto the ropes tightly 😆 Here's a little tip: if you're holding food for the sheep, they might chase after you, so if you're too scared, consider whether you want to buy the feed 😗 See you next time 🫶🏼

It's bigger than you imagine! The recommended way to enjoy it is to descend from a hill. Walking to the higher ground can be tiring, so I suggest taking a free taxi. While riding, the staff will explain the facilities. If it's sunny, the view to Mt. Fuji is oustanding. A photo of the swing is a must! You can also interact with animals at close range. Such a fun day out in the countryside. Not just the kids we enjoy the farm experience as adults too. Especially growing up in the city. It’s rare to get so close to these cute animals. Only need to pay an entry fee to get in and free to go around to get close to all these cute animals waiting for you to feed and pet them. #fallishere I highly recommend Makaino Farm Resort especially if you have kids. Lots of cute little animals to keep the kids happy and excited. There are pony rides and some others. It’s a farm animal petting, incredible swing shots with Mt Fuji as the background, pony riding and there's even an obstacle course. It's fun to interact with animals and enjoy various activities. This place is perfect for Mt. Fuji viewing. Perfect place to unwind and relax. The staff are generally friendly. The facilities and stores are newly renovated. There is a stylish cafe, stunning swings, and a hammock in the forest. Overall, a very nice place to chill and have fun.
