[2025 Taizhou Attraction] Travel Guide for Luqiao Shi Li Long Street (Updated May)

As a Taizhou-based family travel blogger, I am always sharing travel tips for Taizhou. Shili Changjie in Luqiao is one of the best-preserved water town historical streets in Zhejiang, and has attracted many tourists in recent years. On the banks of the Nanguan River on Shili Changjie, I recommend a Thai restaurant: Lanna Run Thai Northern Family Cuisine. The authentic Chiang Mai mama noodles are a must-try! The seafood soup base is amazing, sour and spicy. The lemongrass fried fish is delicious! The fish is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the special sauce gives it a real Thai street food flavor. The cloud Thai milk tea is delicious! The huge cup of cream is so satisfying! Many parents worry that Thai food is too spicy for children. The restaurant has taken this into account, and the menu includes non-spicy dishes such as fried chicken wings, pork neck, water spinach, and pineapple rice. My son loves them. There is a light show at Fuxing Pavilion every night, and you can also take a boat trip to enjoy the water town scenery. Taizhou Luqiao Shili Changjie originated in the Southern Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It starts from Hexi Street in the north and ends at Shiqu Street in the south. It includes seven blocks with a total length of more than 3 kilometers. It is a historical block with relatively concentrated water town style and cultural relics in the province. As early as February 2000, it was designated as a key historical and cultural protection area in Zhejiang Province by the Zhejiang Provincial Government. Walking on the street of Shili Changjie, I feel the blend of ancient and modern. It is like a bright dragon vein, running through the hustle and bustle and tranquility of the city. It is brilliant and like a galaxy falling to the earth, reflecting the unique charm of Luqiao. Shili Changjie is full of shops and tourists, and the fragrance of various intangible cultural heritage foods is coming, full of fireworks. In the evening, there are also timed laser movies in Fuxing Pavilion, which can make people have a deeper understanding of its historical origin and culture. In addition, I also found that there is a marriage registration and certification point set up here, which is also very characteristic.

Taizhou·Luqiao Shili Changjie, is it worth a visit?||The Jin army destroyed the Song dynasty like a flood, Zhao Gou fled south with the wind blowing off his hat. Under the mountain corridors, horses could not pass, in the dock hall, the Yellow Dragon was hidden. In the pouring rain, thunder and lightning, the fire staff was red. The people built bridges to open roads, and Luqiao was granted the imperial seal. It can be said that Zhao Gou brought fame to Luqiao. Stepping on the bluestone slabs, with shops full of dazzling goods, the 'smoke and fire' and 'ancient charm' collide and intertwine. Looking up, there are colorful oil-paper umbrellas, and at the corner, an ancient bridge spans the Nanguan River, quietly witnessing the development of 'ten miles of prosperity, a thousand-year-old commercial port.' 👉Transportation: The old street is basically in the city center area, not remote. Shili Changjie starts at Yinzuo Street and ends at Youdian Road. The entrance in the middle is at the entrance of Zhongsheng Department Store, with the central square and tourist center at the entrance of Zhongsheng Department Store. There are many buses near Yinzuo Street, but I don't recommend taking a taxi to Zhongsheng Department Store, it's always congested. 👉Cost: Free, free, free, except for the things you buy yourself, everything is free. 👉Tour route: If you have time, near the entrance of Yinzuo Street, there is a light show at the ancient tower (light show on the ancient tower with changing lights around). On weekdays, there is one show at 20:00, and on weekends, there are two shows at 20:00 and 21:00. If the timing is right, you can watch the show first and then stroll the old street. If you arrive early, enter from Youdian Road, stroll around, watch the show, and then go home. Of course, it is recommended to visit at night, the old street is very crowded at night, and there are many beautiful girls in Hanfu. 👉Boat ride: The old street is by the river, so boat rides are a must. It's 50 yuan per person, about 40 minutes, and the latest seems to be 20:30. From my several visits, honestly, there are relatively few people taking the boat ride. 👉Accommodation: There are homestays in the old street, by the river. I won't mention names, they are standard. For the same price, the conditions are definitely not as good as the surrounding areas. Since the old street is in the city center, you can stay nearby for more freedom, so I think you can skip the homestays. 👉Food: Fried shrimp, a fried food, tastes quite good, a specialty of Taizhou. There are also other foods like seaweed cakes, plum blossom cakes, xiaolongbao, milk tea, and many more. There are also many food options inside Zhongsheng mentioned earlier, catering to all budgets.

It also tastes like octopus balls, but it's sweet and contains brown sugar. It's surprisingly delicious! I have to say I'm a little full by this point. 4️⃣Think of agar paste as transparent turtle paste! Very refreshing, drizzle with honey, mint, sprinkle with dried osmanthus, and mix with ice water. Pair it with the above three kinds of food, and it’s a perfect summer street experience! And I don’t feel guilty like drinking milk tea. The whole family thought it was delicious. Today, I mainly want to recommend the Luqiao route to everyone! I'll share some of the food, drink, fun, and entertainment near the ten-mile-long street of Luqiao! ☁️Weather: It starts to feel like spring in late February! But it can still be a bit cold! Just bring some thin down jackets or windbreakers! Check the weather forecast before you come! Avoid coming on rainy days! However, the journey between them also takes about 30 minutes! There is a light rail from Luqiao to Jiaojiang, but you can only take a taxi to Huangyan! 🌟Recommended directions for the Luqiao route ✅Ten-mile-long street (recently expanded! Baolong has also moved in! There are shopping districts as well as buildings of a southern town! The fun and good-looking places are mostly here, and it's also considered the city center! There's also a lot of food!) ✅Nanguan Xintiandi (right next to the above-mentioned ten-mile-long street! You can visit both and enjoy the beautiful night view online!) ✅Feilong Lake Park (There are beautiful bald cypress trees! And beautiful sunsets! You can go camping or take photos! Ten-mile Long Street is an ancient district with a rich historical and cultural heritage, located in the bustling area of Luqiao, built alongside the Nanguan River, starting from Hexi Street in the north and reaching Shiqu Street in the south, commonly known as 'Ten-mile Long Street'. It is one of the most well-preserved historical districts in Zhejiang Province, with a traditional layout that integrates southern towns and water streets, and where the water town scenery and cultural relics are relatively concentrated, making it a Zhejiang provincial-level historical and cultural conservation area. Walking along the long street, one can find a strong traditional atmosphere on both sides of the road. The ancient residential buildings showcase the unique charm of Eastern aesthetics, with simple brick walls and gray tiles, all of which are intoxicating.
