This hotel in Luoyang is the right choice! Nice and inexpensive place to stay.
The overall experience of Luoyang Marriott Hotel is quite good
The guy at the front desk was very nice and patiently answered all my questions. However, there were no sofas in the lobby, and during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday guests could only stand and wait for check-in, which was very crowded.
The cakes in the lobby bar on the first floor are amazing, especially the black tea flavored roll cake, which is not greasy, has moderate sweetness, and melts in your mouth. Therefore, I specially tasted one piece before leaving.
The room was cleaned very clean every day, there was plenty of hot water, and the large shower head on the top flowed water smoothly, which made people very satisfied. On the first night, we had dinner at the Chinese restaurant on the third floor. The waiters were very friendly and the dishes were delicious, especially the lamb biscuits. The aroma of the garlic sprouts perfectly masked the mutton smell, and paired with the crispy biscuits, it was a perfect match.
However, the hotel's breakfast was a bit disappointing. Although the variety of food was not small, the kitchen and waiters did not replenish the food in time after the first wave of guests finished their meal, resulting in subsequent guests complaining about the lack of food. After I was seated under the guidance of the waiter, I found that the hot milk was gone. After informing the waiter at the door, although she promised to notify the kitchen, the food and milk were still not replenished during the entire meal. There were several staff members wandering around the restaurant but failed to notice the problem and restock the food promptly. Also, the two fruit boxes were never refilled with fresh fruit during our meal. We arrived at the restaurant around 9 o'clock, and there was still some time before breakfast was over. The chef who cooked the wontons was a bit cold and indifferent, and the wonton skin and filling separated from each other several times after they were cooked.
The sofa in the room is very wide, so there is no problem sleeping on it. The marble color of the bathroom is very beautiful, and the room is intelligent and complete.
The new hotel opened in early July. It doesn't have any pungent smell, but there is a light smell of wood in some places.
The lounge's happy hour has 8 hot dishes, which are quite rich, but the small cakes are quite average.
The online reputation of Luoyang Marriott Hotel is average, but I felt it was okay after checking in, and the staff's smiling service is worthy of praise.
