Luojia Temple
🚩Luojia Temple is located 600 meters southeast of the intersection of Huangjin Avenue and Binhai West Road, Shishi City, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. It is a unique sea temple.
📿History
The history of Luojia Temple can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty. According to records, an Indian monk crossed the ocean to China and built this temple in Shishi, Quanzhou.
After the expansion and restoration of the Song and Yuan dynasties, it gradually became an important center of Buddhist culture in Quanzhou and even Southeast Asia.
📿Architectural style
It combines the traditional wooden structure building skills and Buddhist cultural elements of southern Fujian.
The main building adopts wooden structure and glazed tile roof, with flying eaves and corners, magnificent momentum, such as the Daxiong Hall, Guanyin Hall, Sutra Collection Building and other buildings, each with its own characteristics, showing the outstanding wisdom and extraordinary artistic attainments of the ancient people of Quanzhou.
🚩Recommended attractions
• Mountain gate archway: Located at the entrance, the exquisite carvings on it are a perfect combination of history and art. You can take a picture of the whole archway or take a picture of the entrance with it as the background.
• Daxiong Hall: The central building of the temple, enshrining the statue of Sakyamuni, is the core and holy place. You can take pictures of its magnificent appearance or capture the moment of light and shadow in the hall.
• Five Hundred Arhats Hall: On the side of the Daxiong Hall, the Arhat statues are vivid and have different expressions. You can take a photo with the Arhat or take a picture of the whole scene.
• Guanyin Hall: Located in the east of the temple, it is dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva. You can take pictures of the quiet garden outside the hall and the compassionate and peaceful expression of the Guanyin statue in the hall.
• Sutra Collection Building: In a higher place of the temple, the environment is quiet, and a large number of Buddhist scriptures are collected, which is a symbol of knowledge and wisdom.
• Thousand-hand Guanyin Statue: It is tens of meters high and carved from granite. Each palm is engraved with a seal, representing different Buddhist teachings and meanings. It is a landmark building.

The check-in point for good weather, the floating bridge on the beach, the reef under the Guanyin statue, and the second-floor platform on the right side of the Golden Coast Visitor Center, where you can take beautiful sea views and panoramic views of Luojia Temple.
🚇Transportation guide
• Self-driving: Navigate to "Luojia Temple", there is a parking lot at the door, the charge is 10 yuan for unlimited time.
• Taxi: Locate "North Side of Luojia Temple" when going, and locate "Golden Coast Visitor Center" when returning. Remember to book a taxi in advance.
• Bus: You can take K902 to Shishi No. 5, but it is not recommended because it takes a long time to transfer.

There are snack stalls and beaches around, but there are few restaurants and the prices are expensive. In addition, there are also attractions such as Yongning Ancient City and Jinjiang Wulin Traditional Village nearby.
⚠️Notes
• The landscape is different during high tide and low tide. During high tide, the temple seems to float on the sea. During low tide, you can play and take pictures on the reef, but pay attention to safety.
• The temple is surrounded by the sea, and the sea breeze is strong, so you need to take windproof and warm measures.
• During the peak tourist season on holidays, there are many people and it is crowded, so it is recommended to prepare in advance.
