Lung Cu Flagpole
Lung Cu Flagpole is a national flagpole located at Lung Cu peak, also known as Dragon Mountain (Long Son), about 1,470 m above sea level, in Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district, Ha Giang province, Vietnam.
Lung Cu Flagpole is about 3.3 km from the northernmost point of Vietnam as the crow flies. From the top of the flagpole, looking down at the ground, there are 02 ponds on both sides of the mountain that never run dry all year round, called Dragon Eyes, which are the water source for the ethnic people of the two villages. The flagpole is 24 km from Dong Van district town and 154 km from Ha Giang city.
Lung Cu Flagpole has a long history, having undergone many restorations and embellishments. The new octagonal flagpole is over 30m high and was inaugurated on September 25, 2010.[1]
