My first time hiking at high evelations. It took me three half-days to complete the hike around Lugu Lake. On day 1 I hiked from Daluoshui village to Lige. I wouldn’t consider that part of the trail idea for hiking since it was mostly car roads but the views were indeed breathtaking. After finding my rhythm and getting used to high elevations, I decided to go for a moderate challenge on day 2 hiking towards Nvshenwan. Despite the fact that I started the hike late morning and had to stop from time to time to take in the incredible natural landscape, I managed to reach my destination before sunset and settled myself into an inn. The inn owner was such an interesting and knowledgeable person that I learned so much about the Mosuo culture from him. We spent the entire evening sitting around the fireplace conversing on a wide variety of topics. I finished around 65km of my trip around the lake with a bit of hitchhiking on the last day.
