【Japanese restaurant in Causeway Bay】 I have been to chill pill in Mong Kok before and really liked their style and food selection. Recently, the brand opened a sister restaurant in Causeway Bay. Part of the menu will appear in the new store, and the new store will also have some exclusive dishes. The color tone and dining tables in the restaurant design are a bit like chill pills, with a touch of American nostalgia. The comfortable sofas are check-in spots, and there is outdoor space where you can bring your pets. 🔹B.Y.O.B self-selected bento The bento can be freely combined from the main course to the appetizer, and you can also add snacks. We chose the relatively clear bonito soup udon, with wasabi yam pickles, Japanese mentaiko egg rolls, and hand-made chicken patties with butter and garlic. Japanese mushroom sauce and ginger pork belly slices, topped off with a fluffy Japanese cheese rice cake; a rich lunch is complete. The udon soup was clear, the udon was chewy, the sweet Japanese egg rolls were full and chewy, and the chicken patties were more moist and flavorful than expected. It was super satisfying to eat alone. 🔹Crab roe and cheese macaroni This portion is really the portion for lunch 😂 The macaroni looks very delicate and has a cheesy effect in every bite. There are some corn kernels in the middle to increase the sweetness. I thought it would be super rich, but it was relatively soft when I put it in my mouth, and the macaroni also had a good bite. 🔹Chicken cartilage popcorn bucket This combination is a bit interesting. The crispy and salty chicken cartilage makes you want to eat more and more. There is caramel popcorn underneath, and the popcorn still maintains a crispy texture. If you come to drink at night, this is a very suitable snack to go with wine. 🔹Yuzu Honey Chicken Wings I didn't expect the portion to be so large. The grapefruit honey filled every chicken wing with sweetness. The chicken wings were not greasy at all and the skin was still crispy. 🔹Baked cauliflower with black truffle $118 Many people are afraid of the "raw" taste of cauliflower. After being baked with thick black truffle white sauce, the cauliflower is not too hard and is easy to bite. The middle is also permeated with creamy sauce and it is quite filling. 🔹Cake of the day - Homemade coffee cheesecake There is also Basque cake here, which is my favorite coffee flavor! The size of a piece of cake is actually quite big, with a strong aroma of coffee from the top to the bottom. I like the thicker crust, which makes it more substantial, and there is a ball of cream to balance it out. If you like Basque, you must order it. 🔹Cheese Bacon Crispy Croffle $58 The name of croffle seems salty, but it is actually salty and sweet. The sweetness comes from the honey cheese sauce and a ball of thick vanilla ice cream. The croffle is very crispy. Cut it into pieces and add some ice cream and bacon to taste very good ❤ 🔹Baileys Latte $50 I ordered it when I saw it was a recommended drink. This Bailey coffee is indeed different from other stores. It has a very smooth taste, rich flavor with a slight sweetness, and is very easy to drink. I recommend it! 🔹Elderflower Espresso Tonic The elderflower scent of espresso tonic is very fresh, and the sour fruit flavor matches the taste of coffee very well. The proportion is just right. The nostalgic Japanese posters and ski equipment on the walls, coupled with soft lighting and moody music, make this a very cozy izakaya. We ordered the appetizer for two (11 dishes). I highly recommend ordering the cocktails here! The owner is very attentive and uses kimono as an element. Each of the eight Signature Cocktails has a corresponding kimono style and name. Friends who have difficulty making decisions can also use the boxes prepared by the store to roll the dice and make choices, which is fun and ceremonial. 𓇷Appetizer: Spicy mustard octopus + grilled Hokkaido scallop + grilled salmon All the seafood was very fresh and shiny. There were three appetizers alone, which was a pleasant surprise! 𓇷Tai Juan: Sukiyaki beef + avocado cream cheese There are two flavors of Taiyumaki, four pieces each, which is very filling. Friends who don’t like rice can choose Sukiyaki beef tenderloin fried udon as the main course. 𓇷Dessert: Taiyaki with Custard I highly recommend the custard taiyaki! It is crispy on the outside and warm on the inside, and is topped with ingredients such as matcha ice cream and bracken cake, which is very rich. This restaurant does have the atmosphere of a Japanese izakaya, and the dishes are rich and diverse.
