[2025 Kaohsiung Attraction] Travel Guide for Lotus Pond (Updated Jan)

Getting There - MRT to Zuoying, then bus R51 or 301 Attractions - Dragon & Tiger Pagodas, Spring & Autumn Pavilions, Xuantian Shang-di and more. To visit most of the attractions, will need at least half a day and requires a bit of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. When I went, the pagodas were not open to public, so do take note. The attractions reminded me of Singapore’s Haw Par Villa as they can be quite kitschy and gaudy but attractive in their own rights. Coupled with nice weather and the breeze, a visit here is very relaxing! #tripblazers

#Great Places in September 2024 The scenery of Lotus Pond is beautiful, but the landmark Dragon and Tiger Pagoda is under renovation. It has been renovated a few years ago and it is still not in good condition. I am just curious that if it is renovated before the Chinese New Year, it will drive a wave of people. However, it has not been restored until now. During the renovation, there are many foreigners in the local area. You should be very disappointed when you see the Dragon and Tiger Pagoda under renovation. Most of the Lotus Pond has no shade, and the walkways along the Lotus Pond also have no shade. It is recommended A rain shelter can be built on the walkway next to it, so that you will not get sunburned easily when the sun is strong.
