No need to buy a ticket, save CNY 70 for a Longmen Ancient Town travelogue.
Hey, friends, how are you? Today I'm going to share with you a super flavorful place I've been to recently - Longmen Ancient Town. This place is so antique that it feels like going back hundreds of years. Don't enter from the scenic area, enter the ancient town directly from the road, and you'll know you've entered the ancient town when you see the entrance and exit signs, saving CNY 70.
The weather was great that day, sunny but not hot, it was a good time to go out for a walk. I set off with a few friends early in the morning, and we were discussing on the way whether we would encounter anything interesting. When we got there, wow, the whole ancient town retains the old style, bluestone roads, wooden houses, and the small river that slowly flows through the center of the town, it's so beautiful!
We first wandered around in the ancient town and found that many small shops sell very delicate handicrafts, such as bamboo baskets, handmade cloth shoes, and each item seems to have a story behind it. I also bought a few souvenirs for my home, thinking that I could keep a memory when I go back.
What I remember most is the snack street in the ancient town, which is simply a paradise for foodies! There are all kinds of local snacks, such as fried stinky tofu (although the name sounds a bit strange, but it tastes really good), sweet osmanthus cake, hot sugar-fried chestnuts... I tried everything, and I was so satisfied!
We had lunch in an old shop that looked very old, and ordered a signature dish - steamed fish, the meat was fresh and tender, and it was delicious with the homemade sauce from the shop. After lunch, we also experienced the local tea culture, sat in a quiet teahouse for a while, drank a few cups of fragrant tea, chatted and relaxed, it was so cozy.
In the afternoon, we participated in a short walk organized by the tour guide, walked around the path outside the ancient town, enjoyed the beautiful natural scenery and simple buildings along the way, and felt healed.
At sunset, we sat by the river and rested, watching the sky slowly turn golden, and the river shimmering under the sunset, it was incredibly peaceful and beautiful.
In short, this trip to Longmen Ancient Town was really worth it. Not only did I appreciate the charm of Chinese traditional culture, but I also enjoyed the happiness brought by food and beauty. If you also like this kind of place full of historical charm, don't miss it!
