It's very rare that I post about pubs outside London, but the Hand and Spear is worth talking about. It's next to the station in Weybridge, on the direct line from Waterloo to Surrey. It's probably quicker to get to from platform 24 than most of the capital's zone three and four venues. If I was writing this post 30 years ago, I'd say it was my work club, though sadly with a few exceptions, those places no longer exist.
