[Gunma Prefecture] A real medieval castle in the Gunma countryside! "Lockheart Castle"
Takayama Village, Numata City, Gunma Prefecture, has a population of about 3,500.
In this small village, there is a genuine medieval castle that looks like it has traveled back in time from another dimension.
This is Lockheart Castle.
The original owner was the late actor Masahiko Tsugawa.
He liked this castle, which stood in Scotland, England, and after purchasing it, he dismantled it and shipped it to Japan. However, after many twists and turns, it was finally taken over by the president of Sanpo Co., Ltd., a stonework company in Numata City, Gunma Prefecture, with whom he had a connection.
Then, in 1993, it was successfully restored in Takayama Village.
At the time, Lockheart Castle was quietly open for business, but the real thing Because it is a medieval castle, it has been increasingly used as a location for TV dramas, movies, special effects, etc.
Furthermore, wedding photos and dress-up experiences that make you feel like a princess have spread by word of mouth, and now it is crowded with many tourists from Japan and abroad.
By the way, you can also enjoy fashion coordination with your beloved dog, and owners can enjoy it together.
It is a rare spot where you can experience the elegant aristocratic feeling that only a real castle can have, and feel like you are overseas while in Japan.
There are also many seasonal events, and when I visited, the spring umbrella sky was on display.
The gardens other than the castle are actually very large, so you can enjoy it for half a day.
