🕍 Liverpool Cathedral is one of the largest cathedrals in the UK. The arches are the largest Gothic arches in the history, and the Cathedral has the largest working church organ in the world. It is also famous for the world's heaviest and highest ringing peal of bells.
📍 It is around 2km/30 minute walk from the Royal Albert Dock area or if you go directly from the Liverpool lime street station, it will be around 1.2km/15 minutes walk.
⭐️ You can easily spend 2-3hours within the church it is so big, beautiful and peaceful.

Liverpool Cathedral, also known as AnglicanCathedral. It is the largest church in the United Kingdom, also known as the Catherdral Church of Chris in Liverpool. It is also the fifth largest cathedral in the world, and its architectural style blends traditional Gothic and modern monumental styles. The design of the single tower was an innovation at the time. The tower was 101 meters high and built the world's third largest clock. The exterior is not very eye-catching, but the interior space is extremely high and ethereal. And you can enter for free and listen to the hymns of the choir.
It is worth mentioning that this magnificent and solemn religious building is from the hands of a 22-year-old youth. In 1902, the 22-year-old Giles Gilbert Scott selected the design competition at Liverpool Cathedral, which was a bit controversial, but Scott's mastery of Gothic style and professional family background (George Gilbert Scott Junior) Sir and grandfather Sir George Gilbert Scott are both very famous architects in British history. Sir Grandpa Scott designed London's St. Pancras Station. The Albert Memorial, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the chapel at St. John's College of Cambridge, the main building of the University of Glasgow, etc., and other British landmarks involved in the design are numerous. Let the project run aground. In 1904 King Edward laid the cornerstone and the church began construction. In 1924, the first part of the Church and the East Hall were completed. In 1941, the second stage tower was initially completed and put into use. In World War II, the church miraculously survived the death. However, due to the downturn in the national economy and the impact of the world war, it was not until 1978, after a full 76 years, the main part of the church was officially completed, and Elizabeth II attended the completion ceremony. Unfortunately, Scott died in 1960. He didn't wait until the day when his work was perfectly presented, but Scott not only left this beautiful church, but London's iconic red telephone booth was also from his hand.

A Day at Liverpool’s Historical Masterpiece
The Anglican Cathedral is Liverpool’s Centrepiece. The Historical Gothic Revival Architecture that comprises The Anglican Cathedral is stunning and mighty in stature at a height of 101m. With access to the top of the Cathedral for £5, I recommend taking a trip up and seeing the Liverpool Skyline. You can see across the River Mersey to the Wirral and beyond to Wales. The panoramic view is breathtaking. For more information on the service and tickets, search ‘The Tower Experience Liverpool Anglican Cathedral’.
Surrounding the grounds is a cemetery and garden area that sits below the grounds and offers opportunities to look up at the cathedral from a low viewpoint; I found this view particularly staggering. The garden entrance is located near both car park entrances allowing you to create a round trip that sees everything!
An interesting fact about the cathedral is alongside part of the lower sections near the foundations of the building, you can see bullet holes from the World War that took place during the Cathedral's construction. This can be seen throughout the car parks, especially the central car park.
On the inside, you can pray, shop, donate or explore the knowledge that holds various rare artefacts, religious relics and stunning glasswork. The Anglican Cathedral also has an intricate architecture that connects the floors and levels in an intriguing maze-like pattern. Once inside the cathedral, I recommend seeing the detailed brickwork and sheer size of the Anglican Cathedral.
To conclude, I would highly recommend visiting the cathedral when in Liverpool for the fantastic architecture, historical significance and photo opportunities. I’ll always have a place for it in my heart.

Location: Liverpool Cathedral, Liverpool, UK. Liverpool Cathedral is the largest cathedral in the UK, although not as luxurious as Westminster Abbey, it is magnificent. You can climb to the top of the tower and overlook the entire Liverpool. After taking the elevator for a while, you need to walk up the narrow and steep stairs to the top of the tower by yourself. It's very windy at the top, so be sure to protect your camera. On a clear day, you can see far away.
The son of a photography enthusiast friend is in Liverpool, England, taking photos of the largest Christian church in England and celebrating a special New Year's event with great significance. [strong][strong][strong]

At first glance, this really feels incompatible with the image of the church in mind, and the style is very non-mainstream. This is the Metropolitan Cathedral of Liverpool City Cathedral. The silvery look and the central thorn-like rounded roof are a very modern design. It is said that CNN has rated it as one of the ugliest top ten buildings in the world, and the locals have given it the nickname: "Paddy's Wigwam" (Paddy is a nickname for Irish Catholics). A small circular Catholic church in England, which began construction in 1850, was only partially completed due to insufficient funds. The construction was then interrupted for more than 60 years, and the final completion was in 1967, and the entire process took more than 100 years.
Inside the church, the faint light from the patio creates a mysterious space. You can see the bright colors of the inner hall. If the sun shines through the colored glass at this time, there will be different light and shadows of red, blue, green, purple, etc., which is very beautiful. In addition, in 1982, the then Pope John Paul II visited, and it was active as a Catholic center in Liverpool. Now there are Chinese people who call it a hot pot church. It is said that hundreds of unlucky children are thrown into the gloomy basement examination of this church every year. .
