Liuhou Park is located on the north bank of the Liujiang River in Liujiang District, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, covering an area of about 16 hectares. The park was built in 1906 to commemorate Liu Zongyuan, a great writer of the Tang Dynasty who once served as the governor of Liuzhou. The park not only has rich historical and cultural resources, such as Liuhou Temple, Liu Zongyuan's official tomb, Luo Pool, Ganxiang Pavilion and other ancient sites, but also treasures national first-class cultural relics such as "Lizhi Stele" and "Longcheng Stone Carving". In 2002, Liuhou Park was rated as a national AAAA tourist attraction, and in 2009 it was listed as a national key park. Liuhou Park is not only an important cultural landmark in Liuzhou City, but also one of the important cultural heritages in Guangxi and even the whole country. With Liu Zongyuan culture as the core, it perfectly integrates traditional culture and natural landscape, creating a unique urban garden, which is deeply loved by local residents and tourists.
