Little island park
Address - Little Island Public Park, Hudson River Park, Pier55, West 13th Street, New York, NY 10014, United States of America
This is quite a cute and nicely designed park in the heart of New York along the Hudson River. Generally, the opening hours are between 6am to 12am but this may change depending on the season, so would be good to check before heading down.
There are also many arts programmes and events curated and showcased in this park too. The good news is that most of these have free entry.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Little island in New York
Little Island at Pier 55 (stylized as Little Island @Pier55) is an artificial island park in the Hudson River west of Manhattan in New York City, adjoining Hudson River Park.
Designed by Heatherwick Studio, it is near the intersection of West Street and West 13th Street in the Meatpacking District and Chelsea neighborhoods of Manhattan.
It is located slightly west of the Manhattan shoreline atop Hudson River Pier 55, connected to Hudson River Park in Manhattan by footbridges at 13th and 14th Streets.
Little Island has two concession stands, a small stage, and a 687-seat amphitheater.
Little Island covers 2.4 acres (0.97 ha) and is supported by 132 pot-shaped structures (called "tulips") suspended above the water, which in turn stand on 280 concrete pilings extending into the riverbed.
Little Island provides a unique opportunity to experience nature and history within the heart of New York City.

Little Island New York
Stepping onto Little Island during autumn was like entering a scene from a painting.
The crisp air was filled with the earthy scent of fallen leaves, and the trees were adorned with hues of red, orange, and gold, creating a mesmerizing display of autumnal beauty.
As I wandered through the park, I was captivated by the seasonal transformation. The pathways were carpeted with a mosaic of leaves, crunching underfoot with every step. It felt as though nature had painted the landscape with its own palette, turning Little Island into a breathtaking tapestry of colors.
Finding a quiet bench tucked away amidst the foliage, I sat down to admire the view. From this vantage point, I could see the skyline framed by the vibrant foliage, creating a stunning contrast between the urban and natural worlds.
As I continued to explore, I stumbled upon pockets of tranquility where I could escape the city's hustle and bustle. In these moments, surrounded by the beauty of autumn, I felt a sense of peace and serenity wash over me.
Leaving Little Island, I carried with me memories of its autumnal splendor, grateful for the opportunity to experience nature's beauty in the heart of the city. It was a visit that reminded me of the magic of the changing seasons and left me longing to return again soon.

Sustainability Meets Style: Embracing Eco-Fashion
Ever since I can remember, everyone in our family had habits that we didn’t even pay attention to. We went to the store and the market with bags that my grandmother sewed (nowadays fashionable tote bags;)), shoes served for several seasons, and every spring and autumn we took them to restoration, clothes that were no longer needed, we either donated, or sold.
Now I realize that all those habits were so environmentally friendly!

Little Island - New York City
During my recent trip to New York City, I paid a visit to Little Island. So what is this Little Island place? Well, Little island is an attraction in New York City and it is an interesting and modern park by the pier at hudson river. Little island is a great place to come by and take a walk. You get to see beautiful views of the different buildings across and you get to see some gardens full of pretty flowers. The place is tranquil, quiet and not overly crowded. The design of Little Island is also something to look out for. The architectural design of it is just breathtaking. Pop by Little Island if you're in NYC, it's a free public park for all to enjoy and it is indeed a lovely place.
