If you don’t bring a notebook, you can also ask the lady at the counter for a piece of paper to stamp. You can get a free postcard by checking in. After stamping the commemorative stamp, you can walk for 2 minutes to the post office to send it out! (There are even postboxes from the late Qing Dynasty there) After a day of visiting Lishan attractions, I finally received a lucky bag as a gift, which contained postcards, a DIY box, a notepad, and a pencil. Lishan Visitor Center (梨山遊客中心) is a place where visitors go to for more information about Lishan (梨山). The staffs inside the visitor centre are very helpful and willing to assist us. We received a lot of information here too. There is a poster that features the Lishan Routes and many brochures about Lishan in Chinese, English and Japanese version. A good spot to take a rest and drink some hot water as up at the mountain is really cold! #fallishere
