Taichung-Lishan Tourist Service Center (Nature Adventure Activity)
Follow the map of Lishan and go on an adventure at any time. Walk into the visitor center, where you will meet a positive, interesting and enthusiastic counter lady. She will first verbally promote where you can go and eat, and then take out a map. Just follow the map, you can search for popular attractions in Lishan nearby, find the passcode at the check-in point, enter it, and return it to the lady to redeem a Lishan gift bag.
The service center itself is a tourist attraction worth visiting. At the entrance is the Lishan Observation Deck, where you can watch the sunrise and enjoy the mountain scenery. Behind you is the Lishan Hotel, and there is also a historical exhibition hall area inside.
The service center also displays a lot of Aboriginal handicrafts, with more than 20 commemorative stamps that can be stamped. If you don’t bring a notebook, you can also ask the lady at the counter for a piece of paper to stamp. You can get a free postcard by checking in. After stamping the commemorative stamp, you can walk for 2 minutes to the post office to send it out! (There are even postboxes from the late Qing Dynasty there)
After a day of visiting Lishan attractions, I finally received a lucky bag as a gift, which contained postcards, a DIY box, a notepad, and a pencil. Although they were not very valuable items, the process was very interesting, and each gift was an interesting souvenir full of Aboriginal flavor.
I didn't spend a penny here, but I came back with a lot of stuff. It was the most memorable episode of my trip to Lishan and it is worth a visit.
