We chose the popular restaurant with a panoramic view, Café da Garagem, as our first meal. We recommend that you arrive before the restaurant opens, otherwise you might encounter long queues. Fortunately, we sat on the "throne" by the window that day, enjoying delicious light meals while overlooking the iconic red-tiled roofs of Lisbon and the Tagus River - so beautiful! After lunch, we walked to the nearby Miradouro da Graça, which is a great place to enjoy a panoramic view of Lisbon. Next, we headed to the very interesting Feira da Ladra (Feira da Ladra) Market. This flea market is only open on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The stalls are filled with antiques, handicrafts and second-hand groceries. It is a treasure hunting paradise full of surprises. If you’re keen on discovering unique finds, remember to plan your trip in advance and don’t miss this charming market! Walk down from the Women's Thieves Market to Beco do Maldonado Street. This hidden alley is covered with colorful graffiti and is perfect for walking and taking photos. Every corner can capture the unique beauty of Alfama. Next, we arrived at the famous #MiradourodeSantaLuzia, where the tiled murals and the vast views of the Tagus River are fascinating. Even though there are many tourists, it does not feel crowded or uncomfortable, but rather a lively atmosphere. Continue walking along the alley and you will arrive at #LisbonCathedral (Sé de Lisboa). This imposing Romanesque building is one of the oldest churches in Lisbon. The most classic scene in front of the church is to press the shutter while waiting for the tram to slowly pass by. Everyone must take a picture. After sightseeing, it’s time to get into shopping mode! The first place I recommend is Conserveira de Lisboa, a century-old store specializing in canned fish. The canned food here is not only fresh, but the packaging design is also retro and exquisite. It is definitely the best choice for gifts or as a travel souvenir. From there, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the lively city centre. At dusk, the sunset glow over the #MainSquare (Praça do Comércio) and the #TagusRiver dyed the entire sky golden, which was particularly charming. Also, don’t forget to check out the Arco da Rua Augusta and the surrounding arcades. The final meal ended perfectly with Arroz de Marisco at Uma Restaurant. The risotto here is rich in ingredients and has a rich broth. You can taste the freshness of the seafood in every bite. The portion is huge and you will definitely feel full. Lisbon is a city perfect for city walks, despite its undulating slopes that can be quite tiring on the legs. However, this is also a unique feature of the city. As you stroll through the old town, you can see the city's worn charm, which does not detract from its appeal. The city exudes a relaxed atmosphere, and the streets are full of character. During my day in Lisbon, the weather was unpredictable, with intermittent rain ☔️ and sunshine 🌞. Regardless of the conditions, every snapshot was picturesque. Here are some of the beautiful spots I captured: Photo 2️⃣3️⃣: Bica Funicular, a hill-climbing tool that offers a stunning view of the sea at its highest point. I recommend taking a taxi directly to the top 📍Livraria Antiquaria do Calhariz to save some legwork‼️ Photo 4️⃣: The first intersection after climbing the Bica Funicular, where you can capture a side view of the funicular. Photos 5️⃣6️⃣7️⃣: Starting from the Bica Funicular, follow the route of Tram 28 🚃 and walk along the undulating roads. Every shot is beautiful, although it was raining when we walked this stretch, and it would be even more stunning on a sunny day. Photo 8️⃣: After walking through the narrow alleys, you'll arrive at a large intersection 📍Cc.Estrela Tram Station, where you can also capture the blue jacaranda trees. The sun suddenly came out when we reached this spot, after raining earlier 🌧️. Photo 9️⃣: Located at 📍Rua de Sao Felix, this area is a quiet residential district with few people and beautiful scenery, including views of the sea. Photo 10: Lisbon Cathedral, capturing the scene of a tram passing by. Photos 11·12: Miradouro de Santa Luzia, a free viewpoint where you can gaze at the red rooftops and the sea. Photo 1️⃣: Taken on the way from Lisbon Cathedral to Miradouro de Santa Luzia, I loved this shot so much that I used it as the cover photo. It's a picture I think could be made into a fridge magnet‼️ Photos 13·14·15: Located at 📍Chafariz das Moiras, this spot is absolutely stunning‼️ There's a beautiful blue jacaranda tree 🌸. Photos 16·17: São Jorge Castle, in my opinion, is the best viewpoint in Lisbon. It's situated at the highest point, offering a 360-degree panoramic view. Although there's an entrance fee, the view is indeed better than the free viewpoints, with fewer people. It's also a great spot to watch the sunset 🌇. Unfortunately, the weather was not ideal during our visit, with too many clouds and no sunset to see. The Cathedral's Gothic cloister has several Roman, Arabic and Medirval remains which have been excavated a few years ago. The Treasury is located on the second floor of the Cathedral, made up of four halls with suits, jewels and relics from various periods. Lots of steep slope to get up all the way here but I think it’s definitely worth it. I entered when they were having a mass and could learn a bit while watching. Overall the church is really beautiful and pretty and suggest coming by if you have time in Portugal. It’s near other attractions as well.
