"Charming Qionglai, Enjoy a Trip of Nature and Culture"
Qionglai, a charming ancient city, is like a bright pearl inlaid in Sichuan. Here, you can start an unforgettable journey.
Walking into Pingle Ancient Town, the antique streets come into view. The bluestone road is winding and twisting, and the traditional western Sichuan houses on both sides, the wooden doors and windows, and the carved beams and columns all exude a simple atmosphere. The Baimo River runs through the town, and the river is clear and flowing. You can sit in the teahouse by the river, taste a cup of tea, watch the bamboo rafts and waterwheels on the river, and feel the tranquility and leisure. Or stroll in the alleys of the ancient town, explore the ancient temples and stages, and appreciate the long history and culture.
Tiantai Mountain is also a highlight of Qionglai. The mountains here are green and the waterfalls are flying, and the scenery is beautiful. Walking along the path in the mountains, breathing fresh air, listening to the singing of birds, it seems to be in a fairyland. In Tiantai Mountain, you can watch the spectacular Changhong Waterfall, the beautiful Eighteen Mile Herb Ditch and other natural landscapes. At night, you can also participate in firefly watching activities, thousands of fireflies flicker in the forest, like a dream world.
The food in Qionglai is also mouth-watering. Milk soup noodles, rich soup, chewy noodles, is the first choice for breakfast in Qionglai. Bobo chicken, all kinds of skewers soaked in spicy soup, make people memorable. There is also Wenjun wine, with a mellow taste and a strong cultural atmosphere.
In addition, Qionglai also has rich historical and cultural relics. Wenjun Well witnessed the romantic love story of Zhuo Wenjun and Sima Xiangru. The ancient city wall of Lin Qiong tells the old historical vicissitudes.
Qionglai, a place that makes you linger. Here, you can enjoy the beauty of nature, feel the charm of humanities, and start a wonderful journey.
GENEVIEVE RIOS
Hidden from the world, Datong Town, Qionglai.
On my second visit to Datong Ancient Town, apart from the colorful buildings of "Colorful Datong", the streets of the ancient town itself also retain the original wooden buildings of western Sichuan residences, with a touch of commercial atmosphere, and the ancient town was originally designed as a two-horse road, which should have been quite prosperous in the past.
There is a Taoji Restaurant in the town, which is said to be the 80th generation descendant of Tao Yuanming. Whether it is true or not, the restaurant can still fill your stomach.
There is a Nanmu Tree Ecological Park in the town, which has more than a dozen Nanmu trees over 500 years old, which can barely be embraced by two adults.
In addition to playing in Datong Ancient Town, the nearby caves, Shisun Mountain cliff carvings can not be missed. According to the "Lingshan Buddha Stele", there were temples in Shisun Mountain in the second year of Yonglong of Tang Gaozong (682 AD). The grottoes were excavated earlier, and the time of excavation of the cliff statues of Shisun Mountain in Datong should be around the time of Tang Gaozong.
On the way to Shisun Mountain, I came across the sign of "Imperial Cypress" and "Imperial Tomb". You may not be able to imagine that this hidden rice field is closely related to Li Yu, the last emperor of the Southern Tang Dynasty. The ancient cypress tree of 1000 years, after years of baptism, silently guards the bamboo forest, which is said to be the imperial tomb of Li Yu. There is also a huge basalt stone, named "Liangong Stone", on which Li Yu left the "Yu Meiren" that has been sung for thousands of years - "Ask the gentleman how much sorrow he can have, just like a river of spring water flowing eastward."
Datong is worth immersing in, slowly feeling its historical charm.

A forgotten ancient city lies hidden in the vicinity of Chengdu, with a history of over 2,300 years
A forgotten ancient city lies hidden in the vicinity of Chengdu, with a history of over 2,300 years, accessible by subway and bus! Curious friends might ask, where exactly is this forgotten ancient city near Chengdu? What different landscapes does it offer? With these questions and curiosity, today let's talk about the stories of Linquan Ancient City. Linquan Ancient City is one of the four great ancient cities of Bashu. Together with Chengdu (Yizhou), Chongqing (Bajun), and Pidu District (Jiuancheng), it is one of the earliest four historical cities in Bashu. Linquan Ancient City was founded in the 14th year of King Huiwen of Qin's reign (311 BC), and it has a history of over 2,300 years. It is the hometown of Zhuo Wenjun, a talented woman of the Western Han Dynasty, and has long been known as 'Linquan has been famous for its prosperity since ancient times, the foremost prefecture south of the Heavenly Kingdom.' As the first major town on the Southern Silk Road westward from Chengdu and a strategic pass to Yunnan and Tibet, it has been known since ancient times as 'Wine Town,' 'Tea Country,' 'Pottery Capital,' and 'Silk City.' It had already formed during the Xia and Shang dynasties and reached as far as India and Southwest Asia.

Qionglai's ancient town Xingxian Street
Xingxian area is located in the core area of Linqiong ancient city, the block extends from Wenmiao Street in the south to Wenjun Street in the north, with a total length of 440 meters. The architectural style presents the form of Western Sichuan residential houses, which is an important puzzle piece in reviving the prosperous life of Linqiong. It embodies the concept of 'the flavor of years of daily life, which should be revived today.'
Dabei Street is adhering to tradition, while Xingxian Street is innovating for the future. Compared to Xingxian Street, which is currently seeking investment, I personally prefer the adjacent 'Dabei Street' and its rich, everyday atmosphere.
Because of my fondness for oleanders, now in my memory, there is only that large oleander on Xingxian Street
