Daxu Ancient Town is one of the four ancient towns in Guangxi. The ancient town was built in 200 AD. The old street stretches 2 kilometers along the Li River. Most of the houses on both sides of the road are made of blue bricks and blue tiles from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has an ancient history, a strong commercial and cultural atmosphere, and distinctive characteristics. This cruise is a must if you are in the area! Not only a transportation between Guilin and Yangshuo but a wonderful and unique experience. It's a 4 hours trip and you have lunch included. We took the 4 stars boat in VIP and I would say is worth it. You can book a ticket with an agency or buy the tickets at the tourist office where you will sabe some money. Guilin's peole are very kind and you can find amazing places with top views. Yangshuo has a vibe that not many places have! The cruise along the Li river covers most of the mountains surrounding Guilin and the Elephant Trunk Hill. A ride through cruise in Li river is one of the most suggested activity when I checked before going to Guilin 🛥. The trip is from Guilin to Yangshou and it takes around 4 hours ⏰. I booked it through a travel agent and it costs around 480 for upper deck 4 star cruise with lunch 🍜🍲🍱. And from yangshou evening they took me back to Guilin by road. 20 kilometres southeast of Guilin lies a tranquil little ancient town: Daxu. It sits on the bank of the Li River, and it’s main alley stretches to at least 2.5km long.
