🇭🇺 Budapest Iconic Liberty Bridge 🌉
Attraction: Liberty Bridge
Liberty Bridge is the third and shortest bridge of Budapest. It was built in 1896. Walking Across the bridge to “Buda” side, you will find the Cave Church with the statue of Stephen I before it. You will also see Gellért Hill with the Citadella and the Liberty Statue, standing over Budapest. The view over the river from the bridge is amazing, especially during sunset!

Szabadsag Bridge
Liberty Bridge also known as Szabadsag Bridge, it is the third and the shortest bridge that links the two public squares, Gellert ter (at the foot of Gellert Hill) and Fovam ter (Great Market Hall). You can reach here by merto Line 4 to Fovam ter metro station and Szent Gellert ter metro station.
Constructed in just two years between 1894 and 1896, this lovely green bridge is 333.6 meters long and 20.1 meters wide. Liberty Bridge can be classified as a three-span girder bridge with a Gerber truss built in Art Nouveau style. The top of the four pillars are decorated with large bronze statues of Turul, a falcon-like bird.
Custom houses have been built at both ends of the bridge, directly at the abutments.

Budapest is a nostalgic city. Under its quiet temperament, the meandering Danube water flows from north to south, like a beautiful necklace. Buda and Pest, distributed on both sides of the Danube River, are scattered with the magnificent architecture of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The city of Budapest has been magnificent since ancient times, from the remains of ancient Rome to the Renaissance architecture, with an epic like a magnificent context. Free bridge with different colors and different feelings in the morning and night, take a photo with your camera!

Liberty Bridge: A Summer Stroll Over Budapest’s Iconic Landmark
#europetrip #hungary #budapest
Visiting Liberty Bridge in Budapest during the summer was a delightful experience. This stunning green steel structure, spanning the Danube River, is not only a marvel of architecture but also a symbol of the city's charm. Bathed in the golden light of summer, the intricate details of the bridge's design stood out beautifully, from its elegant arches to the ornate turul bird statues perched proudly at the top. As we strolled along, we enjoyed the picturesque views of the Danube and the surrounding cityscape, with Gellért Hill and the bustling riverside adding to the scenery. The warm summer breeze and vibrant atmosphere made it the perfect place to pause and take in the beauty of Budapest, reminding us of the city's unique blend of history and artistry.

Budapest: Paris can only be the 2nd most romantic city
Many see Paris (or France in general) the most romantic city in the Europe, but to me no place could top Budapest.
The Fisherman’s Bastion sitting high on the hill and overlooking the Danube river and historic bridges that join the once separated Buda & Pest, was pure beauty. It’s no wonder many couples could be seen taking their wedding shots there. It’s highly recommended to come here during the blue hours before sun even rises; the tone of the building could quickly turn orangish in an hour or so.
Many attraction sites are along the Danube River, like Chain Bridge, Liberty Bridge, Hungarian Parliament etc, which makes it an ideal route for city walk.

Go to Budapest to find a fairy tale world, nanny-level guide.
On one side of the river is Buda, on the other side is Pest. A chain bridge connects the two cities, creating Budapest. This city, known as the "Pearl of the Danube", is the favorite city in Eastern Europe. Here are some must-visit attractions in Budapest:
🌟 Vintage Yellow Tram: Obsessed with the yellow tram on the streets. This type of tram can be found all over Budapest, and its vintage style matches the city's atmosphere. Trams run back and forth on the Green Bridge.
🌟Green Bridge: The Green Bridge, also known as the Freedom Bridge, is not actually named after freedom, but after Franz Joseph. Yes, the emperor husband of Empress Sisi. Movies are movies, and art is indeed higher than life. Empress Sisi lived her whole life for freedom, so it makes sense to rename the bridge after freedom.
🌟Matthias Church: Matthias Church is a beautiful neo-Gothic church and one of the symbols of Budapest. It contains various colors of Hungarian folklore, Art Nouveau style, and Turkish design, especially the white spire and colorful roof next to it, adding some interest and vividness to the whole church. The painted glass and murals inside the church are also highlights not to be missed.
🌟Fisherman's Bastion: Located next to the Matthias Church, Fisherman's Bastion is a neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque lookout where you can overlook the Danube River and the Parliament Building. However, it is crowded with tourists all day long, so if you want to take pictures with fewer people, you still need to get up early.
🌟Palace: Taking a leisurely stroll in front of the palace gate is a serious matter for tourists visiting Budapest. The observation deck is free to enter, but as a person without much cultural knowledge, I probably wouldn't understand much in the museum inside. The most enjoyable activity is riding the small cable car up the hill, where you can see the Parliament Building on the opposite bank from the observation deck. Of course, there are also many tourists.
🌟Parliament Building: The Parliament Building is a typical Gothic architecture, standing on the banks of the Danube River. This building, which took 8 years to complete and is 96 meters high, used a luxurious 40 kilograms of gold as building materials. It is said that the reason why the height is 96 meters is because the Kingdom of Hungary was founded in AD 896, and it was founded again in 1896, so it has a commemorative significance.
🌟Garrett Mountain: Garrett Mountain is a great place to take night scenery photos. The Viking cruise ship is docked at the foot of the mountain. The mountain is not high, probably about the same height as Sheshan. The round trip is very easy, and if you feel tired, you can take a taxi up and down the mountain. There is a Statue of Liberty on the top of the mountain, where you can overlook the panoramic view of the Danube River.

Our Liberty Bridge is not the same
Impressive Liberty Bridge, the green iron bridge always runs through the bright yellow retro tram, which has become another classic scene in Budapest besides the Capitol. But when we arrived at the Freedom Bridge, we found that the free bridge was blocked at the beginning and the end, and the local people happily carried out some kind of gathering on the bridge. If we don't understand the local language, we have to go back to the fun.
came back to read the news and learned that the time was the car-free day of Freedom Bridge, the bridge deck was changed to pedestrians, and the vehicle could not pass the bridge. Instead of crossing the green bridge and the yellow tram, we can pass the free bridge. The Hungarians who love to play have released themselves on the bridge, and the Freedom Bridge has become a veritable free bridge. I didn't take the bridge and the tram. I was lucky enough to sit in the middle of the bridge and have a picture. The
day free bridge is actually more ornamental than the Szechenyi chain bridge, and the whole body is a matte green. The bridge is a chain-like structure, originally named after the King of the Austro-Hungarian Empire Franz Joseph. The tightly-structured steel truss seems to show Joseph's heroic and stalwart to the world, while the Hungarian god of the bridge, the Turul bird, adds playfulness and mystery.
Walk on the bridge in the evening, the thick clouds seem to reveal that we didn't have a day with the setting sun, but the orange sunset glow that loomed in the distant skyline contrasted with the blue clouds. The cruises docked on the river occasionally flashed happy figures, accompanied by crowds of laughter and laughter, giving the free bridge, which was originally only rigorously symmetrical, dotted with a bit of smoke.
Shirley Zhu.
The Freedom Bridge is a green bridge. I like the color of the bridge. There are always trams on the bridge. The Freedom Bridge is the shortest bridge in the centre of Budapest and the first bridge to be rebuilt after the Second World War. From time to time, there is a yellow tram passing through the bridge on the free bridge. The color of the tram is also very beautiful. You can take a bright yellow tram on the bridge for a while, which is particularly conspicuous.
YIYI NOTES.
Budapest, the capital of Hungary in the north-central border of the country, is situated on the banks of the Danube River. It was previously two distant cities. After several centuries of expansion, in 1873 the city of Buda and Gubda on the left bank of the Danube and the city on the right bank. Pace merged.
There is no such name as Budapest. In the past, it was generally called Pest-Buda.
Freedom Bridge is my favorite bridge on the Danube in Budapest. For a few dusks, I was walking on the bridge, although the vibration of the ecstasy would make me afraid when the train passed, but this green steel bridge was specially mirrored at sunset.
Friends said that the game in Budapest is watching the sunset on the Danube River and watching the night scene on the Kings Mountain. Ever since, after sunset, a girl climbed up the mountain to see the night scene. At that time in Hungary, no refugees had invaded, so I was not afraid when I was walking on a forested mountain road with dim lights.
You can see the panoramic view on the opposite side of the Castle Hill. No wonder even locals like to climb up to see the scenery.
