Laoting - Former Residence of Li Dazhao (Huaide Hall).
The Former Residence of Li Dazhao, originally named Huaide Hall, is located in Daheituo Village, Hujia Tuo Town, Laoting County, Tangshan City, Hebei Province. It is the birthplace and childhood home of Li Dazhao. The residence faces south and is rectangular in shape, with a front yard, middle yard, and back yard. It is a typical rural building in eastern Hebei, built by Li Dazhao's grandfather Li Ruzhen in the 7th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1881).
The Former Residence of Li Dazhao has largely retained its original appearance, and the furnishings inside the house remain as they were back then. Visitors can experience the childhood and teenage years of Mr. Li Dazhao on this land, feel the influence of his early living environment on his character, and explore the origins of his great revolutionary ideas.
On January 13, 1988, the Former Residence of Li Dazhao was listed as a third batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.
