Discovering the Best of Lehua Night Market: A Local Food Lover's Paradise in Taipei
Lehua Night Market, located in the heart of Taipei, is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Taiwanese flavors. Known for its traditional local food, this bustling night market is frequented by more locals than other night markets in Taipei, offering a truly immersive experience in the city's food culture.
Among the most popular stalls, one that stands out is the Mixed Seafood Thick Soup stall. This hearty dish is made with fried fish, squid, and prawn paste, delivering rich, savory flavors. It’s often paired with Tainan-style sticky rice, making for a satisfying meal.
Another crowd favorite is the Angelica Duck stall, where the rich, flavorful duck is served with either noodles or rice. The tender meat and aromatic herbs are a perfect combination that keeps locals coming back for more.
For a comforting bowl of soup, the Crispy Pork Rib Soup stall offers a delicious, hearty broth with crispy pork ribs, adding a delightful crunch to the savory soup.
Finally, no visit to Lehua Night Market would be complete without indulging in the freshly made taro ball dessert. This sweet treat features soft taro balls filled with fresh taro paste, paired with refreshing sugarcane shaved ice, offering a cooling end to a satisfying food journey.
With long queues at these stalls, it's clear that Lehua Night Market has earned its reputation as a local favorite, offering authentic Taiwanese dishes that are full of tradition and flavor.

Lehua Night Market is a newly emerging night market in Taipei. It is located in Yonghe District 😚 It is further away than the Ningxia Night Market and Raohe Street Night Market in the central area, but the flow of people is very busy. We arrived at around 9:30 pm and there were still many people 🤑 The flag at the door We’ve already seen long queues for fish skewers, and the snacks are all-inclusive. There are several vendors for each category, so you can shop around without being overly competitive😺
I tried swordfish skewers, soy milk chicken, Michelin-recommended mochi, three fresh soups and sweet potato balls. The taste was not too strong😛 They are all authentic snacks that can only be tasted in Taiwan’s night markets.
There are many clothing, jewelry and game shops 💯 which complement the food vendors. When you are full, you can go to consume some. When you are hungry, you can eat again. It is almost 12 o'clock in the evening before you reluctantly leave and go back to the hotel🤣
