Xi'an! Third stay! I really like this affordable hotel
Last time I experienced the Sheraton Chanba, this time I would like to share my experience of staying at Le Meridien Chanba.
To give a general summary, in terms of overall quality and breakfast, Sheraton performed better, but Le Méridien had more advantages in playability and geographical location.
✅ Soundproofing/sanitation: The hotel has good soundproofing and sanitation conditions. The rooms are clean and tidy, providing a comfortable environment for guests.
🏘️ Room type/layout: I stayed in a room facing Chanba. Although the floor was not high, the scenery outside the window was breathtaking. The room is well laid out and the bathtub faces the river. This design allows people to enjoy the river view while bathing, which makes them feel particularly relaxed. In addition, the hotel's two-bedroom suites are very cost-effective and have extra-large floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing you to take in the beautiful scenery of Houhai at night. As one of the tallest hotels on the island, it has an unobstructed view of the surrounding scenery.
🛌 Supplies/Facilities: Although the room's bathing products are not top-notch, they can meet basic needs. Children's products need to be requested actively. There are children's toothbrushes and children's bathrobes which are a bit large. However, there are some shortcomings in the facilities. For example, there is no footstool, and the fence is old and unstable. It is not recommended to use it, so parents with children are advised to bring their own children's supplies. The swimming pool is small and shallow, which is fine for adults to use. Children are advised to bring their own swimming rings because they need to be rented at the front desk of the swimming pool for 30 yuan per time, but the water temperature is suitable. The children's entertainment area is divided into indoor and outdoor areas. The small indoor room has ocean balls, small slides and Lego, which is slightly better than the children's playground in Sheraton. There are slides and sand pits outdoors, facing the Chanba River. The scenery is beautiful in the evening, which is very suitable for a walk after dinner. There is a lawn outside. When I went there, there was a Lululemon event and there were many cute puppies. The food served in the executive lounge is not very rich, with occasional fruits and cakes. There are more people at dinner time, and the food is replenished slowly. Friends who like to drink beer can drink as much as they want. I enjoyed red wine and sparkling white wine, but there was only one bottle each at dinner, and it would not be provided after drinking. Some dishes for dinner were repeated with breakfast, such as fried noodles, chicken, etc.
💗 Other tips:
- Food and Beverage: The breakfast variety is not rich, the taste is mediocre, the spicy soup is a bit spicy, and overall it is not as good as the breakfast at Sheraton. But around the Chanba River, there are many people fishing. After dinner, you can play on the slide, dig sand, take a walk, ride a bike, etc. by the river. The experience is good and it is very pleasant to spend a two-day weekend here.
- Geographical location: The hotel has a superior geographical location and a pleasant surrounding environment, which is very suitable for strolling with children and relaxing vacations. Next time I take my kids to stay in a hotel on the weekend, I will still consider Aimee.
- Membership Services: If you are not a Marriott member, you can obtain relevant services through specific channels. Although Le Méridien Chanba has some minor shortcomings, its unique advantages
