There are two amazing resorts on Shimei Bay that I would highly recommend for your stay. I've been living abroad for 2 weeks now, let's talk about it comprehensively
✍Let's talk about everything from clothing, food, accommodation, transportation, to entertainment that everyone is concerned about.
👙Clothing: It's very hot in March, summer outfits. The indoors are humid, so bring extra clothes. Swimsuits are a must.
🥥Food: Ate out a lot in the first week. In Haikou, Sanya, Lingshui, Wanning, the cost of eating is about the same, fast food is about 30 per person, ordering from the menu is 60-100, and popular restaurants are over 120 per person.
Must-tries include Wenchang chicken, Zao Zuo vinegar hotpot, and Qingbu Liang. No need to go to internet-famous stores deliberately, just eat wherever you go, and it all feels pretty good. In the second week, bought groceries, fresh seafood, cooked by myself, reliable and less expensive.
🏚Accommodation: Rented a duplex apartment in Lingshui Li'an Villa area, with a clubhouse and swimming pool, 2500/month. It's comfortable for 3-4 people, better than a hotel.
🛥Entertainment: Beaches and the sea are not worth much, almost no cost involved, expenses are for water activities.
🌴Places like Wenchang's Mulan Bay, Wanning's Riyue Bay, Shimei Bay, Lingshui's Qingshui Bay are enough for taking photos and checking in. If you want atmosphere, go to the beach area of Le Meridien or Westin in Shimei Bay. You don't have to stay at the hotel to go there and can spend half a day.
