Lavande Hotel Shantou Nanao Island, a healing journey with the sea right outside your window
Who understands, family! I stayed three days at Lavande Hotel (Shantou Nanao Island Seaview Hotel), and I literally engraved the "island vacation template" into my DNA! 📍Located 50 meters south of Fisherman’s Food Stall on Longyun Road, Houzhai Town, Nanao, just a 1-hour drive from downtown Shantou. The coastal road scenery is so beautiful that I wanted to roll down the car window and snap photos nonstop📸
As soon as I entered the hotel lobby, a faint lavender scent greeted me, instantly relaxing me~ The welcome tea from the front desk was local Phoenix Dancong tea, rich and sweet with a lasting aftertaste. The check-in speed was so fast I thought it was playing in fast-forward⏩
I stayed in a sea view king room, and the moment I opened the door, I couldn’t help but say “Wow!” The deep blue sea unfolded like a dynamic painting right before my eyes. Lying in bed, I could watch fishing boats gently sway on the water. At night, I fell asleep to the sound of waves, and even my dreams tasted like salty sea breeze🌙 The room’s smart toilet, wireless charging pad, and aroma humidifier… detail lovers will feel totally spoiled! The bedding was so soft it felt like being wrapped in clouds, and I slept soundly until dawn, a dream come true for lazyheads🥰
🚿The bathroom deserves special praise! Lavande’s signature lavender bath products have rich, long-lasting foam, leaving you smelling wonderful after a shower~ The extra-large showerhead delivers hot water instantly with strong pressure, like a “waterfall spa,” washing away all travel fatigue!
🍳Breakfast was served in the first-floor restaurant. The variety wasn’t flashy but hit every craving! Chaozhou-style rice rolls drizzled with secret sauce were so fresh I wanted to stomp my feet; the freshly cooked seafood congee was overflowing with shrimp, crab, and shellfish piled high in the bowl, paired with crispy fried dough sticks, making carb happiness max out💥
The best part is the hotel’s location! A 5-minute walk to the beach, where you can feel the soft sand under your bare feet and watch waves roll in and out, so healing you’ll want to spend the whole afternoon there🌴 In the evening, head to the nearby Fisherman’s Food Stall for seafood—freshly caught crabs, mantis shrimp, oysters, steamed or stir-fried, all absolutely delicious. You can eat your fill for about 100 yuan per person and leave feeling stuffed🦞
The hotel service is heartwarmingly thoughtful! On the first day, I casually asked where the best sunset spot on Nanao Island was, and the front desk guy drew me a hand-drawn map with the best photo times marked; when I checked out carrying my suitcase, the security uncle kindly helped me to the parking lot. This kind of subtle warmth, who wouldn’t love it?❤️
During my three days here, every day felt like starring in an island movie: watching fishing boats set out at dawn from the balcony, wading and collecting shells on the beach in the afternoon, chasing a tangerine sea sunset at dusk, and listening to waves and counting stars in the room at night… Lavande turns the romance of “facing the sea, with spring flowers blooming” into an everyday reality🌅
If you want to go to Nanao Island to see the sea, eat seafood, and relax on vacation, Lavande Hotel (Shantou Nanao Island Seaview Hotel) is definitely a no-brainer! Promise me, be sure to choose a sea view room, because the shock of opening the window to the sea is something you’ll remember for a lifetime🌊
