Lau Shui Heung Country Trail地址:
Flowing Water Pond in Baxianling Country Park
The Liushuixiang Trail is suitable for families to hike together. Not only does it have a lake view, but it only takes about 2 hours to complete the round trip!
Marine is almost 3 years old.
Liu Shui Hing Reservoir has been called "Hong Kong's version of the Mirror of the Sky" in recent years. It is a popular hiking in the countryside during the Hong Kong New Year. Because the whole journey only takes about 2 hours to complete the round trip, you can also enjoy the beautiful lake reflection in Hong Kong's big city. You can even enjoy the red leaves in autumn! 🍁
Because the difficulty is not high, this time with Marine can easily complete, see the lake view and he is very excited!
How to get there: Take minibus 52B from Fanling MTR Station, get off at the intersection of Liu Shui Hing Road and Tsui Shum Road, and walk along Liu Shui Hing Road to the entrance of Liu Shui Hing Reservoir Country Park.

Fanling Picnic
There are many tourist attractions in Fanling, and this time we started from the Indian Temple, which has a very unique architectural design. Afterwards we went back into the military camp, which felt like an adventure as it had been abandoned for many years.
It’s the autumn leaves season now, so of course you can’t miss the beautiful sight of flowing water! Afterwards, you can leave for Fung Yuen via Hok Tau, with beautiful scenery along the way, bringing the journey to a perfect end.

Red leaves @ Lau Shui Heung
Lau Shui Heung is also called the ‘sky mirror lake’ of Fanling district, Hong Kong. The scenery is especially stunning in late Dec to early Jan when the leaves start turning red.
Transportation: take minibus 52B at Fanling station, take off at Hok Tau. It takes about 10 minutes walk to reach the lake, where you can take a glance of the rolls of pine trees and cypress trees from distance. Then, you could walk for another 10 minutes to across the bridge for a closer look of the trees.

See 2 cisterns at a time
From Fanling, take a minibus and walk for 5 minutes to see the rain cedar 🌲🌲🌲 in Liu Shui Hing Reservoir. Although it has not turned red, it is really delicious😌
It's raining and wet today, so I can't see the mirror, but such a large green forest is really comfortable😌
Finally, we walked to Hku Shum Reservoir and finally heard the sound of running water 😂😂 It was a beautiful view 😍😍

Nice View along the trail 😍
Lau Shui Heung country trail is nice and an easy one. The trail is paved, which might be less challenging for hikers that are looking for natural and wild ones however, the view along is beautiful. Many spots to take a photo shoot. The curled tree trunk, the lookout point in front of the barbecue site, and of course the reservoir itself. The cypress trees are just starting to turn yellow when I get there. This trail is walkers friendly, easy to find a spot for a picnic. Just beware of the monkey when you are enjoying food or drink. Just like me and my friend, we never imagine that a monkey would like to join us in enjoying our lunch 😅.
Would love to go back there when the cypress trees are turning red. It must amazing.
How to get there:
Fan Ling MTR Station exit A3 or exit C, take minibus 52K or 52B, get off at roundabout for Pat Sin Leng Country Park

Hong Kong version of Karuizawa Cloud Field Pond~Liu Shui Xiang Reservoir🏞️
Today I want to introduce you to a place that is often crowded during holidays in recent years, it is the Hong Kong version of Karuizawa Yunba Pond, known as the Liushui Hing Reservoir🤗
What's so special about Liu Shui Hing Reservoir 😃?
1. Hong Kong version of Light Well Pond Yunchang Pond🏞️ (Liu Shui Hing Reservoir is strictly not a hiking route, because it only takes 15 to walk from the drop-off location to the entrance of the reservoir minutes🤣 place 😍, I'm lucky to have a long chair to sit on 😆, looking at the beautiful view in front of you picnic 🥙 eating lunch is really a great pleasure in life 😌)
2. White flower fish vine🎋 (After admiring the Cloud Field Pond, you can walk back to the entrance of the Liushui Ring Countryside Trail, you can see the peculiar appearance of the white flower fish vine 😁. This kind of white flower fish vine is very rare in Hong Kong , there are only two places to see, the other place is the litchi nest that I introduced before😚, so don't sit like a swing when you take pictures with him 😉)
3. Falling pine 🌲 (Flowing Water Ring Reservoir and Tai Tong are the same red leaves 🍁 see ga😃, but this red leaves are different from that red leaves, flowing water ringing red leaves is a kind of fir tree called falling feather pine, I went when I went At the end of January, just caught the last bus to see the autumn leaves😜)
4. Mirror of the Sky 🪞 (Even if there is no red leaves to see, it doesn't matter, another selling point of the flowing water is its Mirror of the Sky 🤗, unfortunately I waited for 3 hours the day I couldn't wait for the Mirror of the Sky to appear for a moment 🙈)
5. Hku Sham Reservoir (another reservoir near Liu Shui Hing, since the waterway is so far away to Liu Shui Hing, you might as well go to Hku Sham Reservoir if you have time 🤗, just go back to the roundabout where you get off to Hku Sham Reservoir Direction 30 minutes will arrive 😚 😆)
Transportation: You can get there directly by taking the 52B green minibus 🚌 from Exit C of Fanling Station. However, I would like to remind you to leave as early as possible, because the flow of water is too popular, and you have to go to the terminal to get on the bus. I waited for 1.5 hours to get on the minibus to leave🙈

Liushuixiang Country Trail
This time we introduce you to an easier hiking route, the Liu Shui Hing Countryside Trail located inside the Baxianling Country Park. You can start your journey by taking minibus 52B from Fanling MTR Station to Tsui Shum Wai.
The whole route is about 7 kilometers long and takes about two and a half hours. The advantage of this route is that the road condition is better, and it is full of shade, so you don't have to worry about the sun. After almost an hour's walk from Tsui Shum Wai, you can reach Liu Shui Hing. The environment of Liu Shui Hing is beautiful. In good weather, you can even see the mirror of the sky. It is a very suitable route for hikers!

A green wonderland. Liu Shui Heung Pond
Green and oily wonderland. The flowing water rings in the reservoir
Location: Inside Baxianling Country Park, Northeast New Territories
Access: Take the 52B green minibus from Exit C of Fanling MTR Station
You've seen the golden yellow 💛 running water a lot. It turns out that the green 💚 running water ring is also very beautiful. Taking advantage of my free time on weekdays, I thought that no one would go to the green flowing water, but there were quite a lot of people there🥴. The popular Sky Mirror🪞 location is full of people early in the morning. If you want to find a spot to take a photo📸, you have to wait. The route to the reservoir is simple and easy to walk. You can wear a beautiful dress to take pictures. There are also novice-level picnic routes, which are very suitable for parents and families to go out.

Popular red leaf viewing spots in Hong Kong🍂🍁 Liu Shui Xiang Country Trail
Liushuixiang Reservoir is known as the "mirror of the sky in the forest"🪞The reason is that the reflection of Liushuixiang Lake is beautiful and the mountains and rivers are the same color. It is also called the "Hong Kong version of Karuizawa". 😍😍😍 Moreover, the difficulty of the Liushuixiang Country Trail is not high. You can complete the entire trail in 2 hours. Novices can easily get started. The scenery of the red bald cypress leaves next to the Liushuixiang Reservoir is super beautiful! 🍁🍂
Transportation: Take minibus 52B at Fanling MTR Station, get off at the intersection of Lau Shui Heung Road and Hok Sou Road, and walk along Lau Shui Heung Road to the entrance of Lau Shui Heung Reservoir Country Park.
Tips: The number of minibuses on the return journey is sparse, and it takes 30 minutes to walk to Bugezai. It is recommended to take a taxi directly on the return journey😌

Forest Mirror - Flowing Water Reservoir
#Hiking route recommendations
The reputation of "Mirror of the Forest" and "Little Guilin of Hong Kong" reflects the beauty of the flowing water and Heshou Reservoir. Take minibus No. 52B from MTR Fanling Station, get off at Lau Shui Heung Shui Reservoir Station, and follow the main road to Lau Shui Heung Shui Reservoir. The most familiar ones are the Melaleuca alternifolia that turns red in autumn and winter and the reflections in the pond.
Walk along the country trail, after crossing the flowing water bridge, there is a path that leads to the pond, where you can appreciate the lake and mountain scenery of the pond up close. The towering trees are not to be missed! There are many strange-shaped trees with tangled roots along the hiking trails, but be careful not to damage the trees.

Liushuixiang Country Trail
Uncle this time to introduce the Liu Shui Hing Countryside Trail, to Liu Shui Hing transportation is very convenient, take minibus 52B at Fanling Railway Station, about 20 minutes drive to the peripheral of Liu Shui Hing, and walk more than ten minutes to the reservoir area.
Overall, the flow of water is simple and easy to walk. It is a picnic trail suitable for newbies to hike with families. I recommend it to everyone if you have the opportunity to walk it!

Winter outing 🤣 Flowing water
The best thing to do in winter is to go to the countryside 💕 Liu Shui Hing can be said to be the hottest place in the past couple of years 😃
December is the time when the leaves are the busiest🙈
So even if you go on weekdays you can see a lot of people 🤣🤣
However, there are fewer people than the first year 🥰
And it felt great to go walking this year❤️
It feels a little 🤏🏻 like going to Japan🇯🇵😗😗
However, the transportation to we feel is inconvenient 😆😆
So go to the bus some time in advance

Winter Family Fun - Flowing Water Country Trail
#wintertravel #countryside
This time, we started from Liu Shui Hing Reservoir and walked on the countryside trail to Hku Shum Reservoir. The difficulty level was 1 star. The road was in good condition and the path was very clear.
Walking slowly for probably an hour or so, we got to a place where we could see the view of Tsuruga Reservoir from a distance, and for a moment I felt like I was in Japan!
Unfortunately, along the way we saw used tissues, garbage on the ground, and people picking blooming mango grass 😔 We remember the mountains and fields do not leave traces!

Hok Tau Reservoir
Hok Tau Reservoir is located in Pat Sin Leng Country Park and can be reached by taking minibus No. 52B from Fanling MTR Station.
But this time I went to Hesou Pond from Liushuixiang because I could see the whole picture of the pond from a high place.
The pond is surrounded by dense green trees. During the holidays, the whole family would come here and walk around the pond, having a great time.

A tiring trip: Go to Liushuixiang in Tai Putou
Have you ever been to the all-time flowing water sound?
From Tai Po Head to Hang Shan, the total length is 7.5 kilometers, taking 4 to 5 hours~
It's not difficult to walk. I saw many families walking together along the way
About 70% of the uphill section is stairs, mainly cement steps~
In addition to the sound of flowing water, you can also see the beautiful scenery of Tai Po along the way. It's really hard to take pictures
Note:
The supply of minibus services is in short supply. You can consider reversing the route, or walking to Sha Tau Kok Highway to take the bus

[One hour to enjoy the beauty of fake Guilin] Mirror of the Sky
#Liu Shui Ring Many people go here to see the red leaves 🍁, but I just want a place for a family to relax 💆🏻 ♀️, pretend to travel, recently, while the red leaves are not much (that is, the crowd is not much), chose this place for #General Run Run Run 🏃🏻
It is recommended that you #avoid the holidays or #depart early would be better, if it is not convenient to ask for leave on weekdays, get up early on holidays, go to play two hours in advance (already loosened), after hiking to eat lunch is just right ~

Great Spots to Capture Autumn Leaves in Hong Kong
Weekend Trip to Lau Shui Heung, Fanling. You can take a minibus directly to the entrance of Lau Shui Heung, or drive there. There are a few parking spaces nearby, making it quite convenient. Known as one of Hong Kong's sky mirrors, the lake is calm and there are many photo spots near the water. For the best reflection photos, it's best to visit in the morning when it's sunny and windless. There are also barbecue campsites around, and the overall path is relatively easy and short, taking about an hour to complete, making it suitable for beginners.
Address - Lau Shui Heung Country Trail, Fanling, Hong Kong
Environment/Facilities - Picnic areas and hiking trails
Features - A popular spot to enjoy autumn colors
Cost - Free
Rating - 8 out of 10

Hiking in Hong Kong – Butterflies flying + the sound of running water – The Sound of Running Water and Hok Tau Reservoir
#Sign up for November Hotel Test Sleeper
Since October, the weather in Hong Kong has ushered in a little autumn. Not only is it not as hot as last month, but the humidity has also dropped a lot. It is the beginning of the hiking season. This time I found a route that is not too difficult to walk, which is located in the Liushui Heung Reservoir and Hok Tau Reservoir in the Pat Sin Leng Country Park in the northeast of the New Territories. I can visit two places at once.
We first took the MTR to Tai Po Market Station, then took the 20P minibus to Fung Yuen Village Station. For the first time we went to visit the Phoenix Butterfly Sanctuary to see butterflies in the wild. The conservation area is not large, so you can take a quick look. If you are not interested in butterflies, you can go up the mountain from the stairs next to it. From the mountain you can overlook the scenery of Tai Po Industrial Village. Then follow the signs on the left to the direction of Jiulongkeng Mountain/Shaluodong. On this road, you can see some abandoned villages, which gives you a feeling from the movie "A Chinese Odyssey". After passing a forest, you will hear the sound of running water, which means you will soon reach the Heshou Reservoir Dike (not the Liushuixiang Reservoir :). The pond is not very large, but it is surrounded by lush woods and is very beautiful. However, you have to be careful as there was a landslide on a certain section of the trail, and one part of the trail is particularly narrow, so you have to walk along the slope when necessary. After reading the introduction, I learned that Hesou Pond and Liushuixiang Pond were used to irrigate nearby farmland.
Afterwards we walked from Heshou Pond up the mountain towards Liushuixiang Pond. Liushuixiang is also known as the Mirror of the Sky because of the bald cypress and metasequoia trees planted there. In autumn, it attracts many tourists who come to take pictures of the leaves turning yellow and red and their reflections. As autumn has just begun in Hong Kong, the leaves are still very green, but the scenery is also beautiful. You can take minibus 52B from Liushuixiang, but it may be full when there are many people. You can walk for 15 minutes to the Heshou Road terminal to wait for the bus.
Tips for hiking this mountain trail:
- Each person needs to buy a $20 ticket to the Butterfly Conservation Area
- The hike takes about 3-4 hours (including stopping at each place to take photos), so it is best to bring plenty of water and dry food
- There is no big forest to provide shade when going up the mountain from the Butterfly Conservation Area, so be prepared for enough sunscreen
- If there are too many people waiting for the minibus on the way back, you can also walk out and take the 78A bus to Fanling
- If you want to eat on the way back, you can go to Luen Wo Hui, where there are many delicious restaurants

"Hiking in Liushuixiang Pond in spring and enjoying the beauty of nature"
#春好去地方2024
On a sunny Sunday in spring in Hong Kong, my friends and I decided to go to Lau Shui Heung Shui Reservoir for an outing. Since we both love hiking and being close to nature, we decided to take the 64K bus from Tai Po Park to reach our destination.
We gathered at 9:30 in the morning, boarded bus 64K, and arrived at Tai Po Park in about 50 minutes. After arriving, we started from Tai Po Park and entered the country park along Po Tong Mei Road.
Along the way, we passed through mountains and valleys, listened to the birds and insects singing, and admired the flowers and grass on the roadside. Occasionally, we could see wild monkeys jumping between trees or rock walls.
After walking for about two hours, we came to a ditch called Jianjian Water Pipe. After walking along the water pipe for about 15 minutes, we arrived at the Liushui Xiangshui Pond Valley and finally reached our destination. We stayed there for about an hour, enjoying the tranquility and beauty of nature.
Walking in the valley, we found many small waterfalls and clear mountain springs. It is spring now, and the valley is full of wild flowers, forming a charming sea of flowers. We took a lot of photos there to capture this beautiful moment.
When we set out to return, we chose to take Putangkeng Road back to Tai Po Park. This road is relatively flat and offers views of the nearby villages.
When we returned to Tai Po Park, we had some snacks and drinks to replenish our energy. Afterwards, we took bus 64K back to the city, ending this wonderful spring outing.

Fanling Flowing Water
Fanling Flowing Water
The sound of flowing water and the red leaves of the Bald Cypress attract a large number of tourists to take photos and check in every winter from December to mid-January.
The most beautiful scenery is the one with gradient colors. If you can add blue sky and white clouds, the effect will be even more beautiful.
Liu Shui Heung Reservoir is located in Pat Sin Leng Country Park. It is easy to walk around the reservoir! The walk takes about two to three hours. The reflection of the flowing water is called the "Hong Kong version of the sky mirror".
There are rows of bald cypresses, and white melaleuca trees can also be seen next to them. The oil extracted from the melaleuca tree can be used in the medical industry and has the effect of inhibiting bacteria.
Tourists can transfer to the 52B green minibus bound for Hok Tau at the minibus terminal outside Exit C of Fanling Railway Station. The journey takes about 15 minutes, or you can take a taxi.

The sound of running water makes many people pass by Mong Kok
The water is flowing, the walk is good, the view is beautiful, and the card game is first-rate, but it is more crowded than Mong Kok.
Even the domestic helpers know Lai Nai has a party during the holidays

Flowing Water Sounds Sky Mirror
This time you introduce a beginner hiking route to you, which is to hike the sound of flowing water inside Baxianling Country Park. This route is only 7 kilometers long, takes two hours to complete, and is very comfortable to walk, perfect for new hikers!
From the departure point, you can take minibus 52B from Fanling MTR Station and get off at Tsui Shum Wai to start the journey. Most sections of this route are shaded by trees, so you don't have to worry about the sun! And in good weather, you can also see the sky mirror of the flowing water reservoir, reflecting the pine trees and white millet next to it, the view is very beautiful! Since this route is a popular holiday outing route, it is recommended to come on weekdays if you want to avoid crowds!
