Lashi Lake
Hello, friends! Today, I want to share with you Lijiang Lashi Lake Wetland Park. Lashi Lake is located in Lijiang, Yunnan. As of October 5, 2015, Lijiang Lashi Lake (International) Wetland Park covers a total area of 1,302 mu (86.8 hectares) and is 2,420 meters above sea level. It is an ecological theme park that integrates scientific research, natural ecological sightseeing, and tourism and vacation, and is a national leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration site. As of October 23, 2017, Lashi Lake is 2,437 meters above sea level and is a nature reserve named after a "wetland." Lashi Lake Wetland is home to 57 species of birds, with about 30,000 birds coming here to spend the winter every year, including 9 rare and endangered bird species, such as the bar-headed goose, a bird unique to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and the Chinese merganser, black-necked crane, and black crane, which are all national first-class protected birds. Therefore, in June 1998, the provincial government officially approved the establishment of the Yunnan Lijiang Lashi Lake Plateau Wetland Nature Reserve, which includes four areas: Lashi Lake, Wenhai, Jizi Reservoir, and Wenbi Reservoir, with a total area of 6,523 hectares. The main part of the reserve is the Lashi Lake area, which covers an area of 5,330 hectares and has become a paradise for migratory birds.
