Located 20 kilometers away from the Yongshun county town, on the mountain lies the ruins of Laosi Fortress. Laosi Fortress was established by the Peng clan Tusi during the Southern Song Dynasty and was abandoned after moving to a new location following allegiance to the Qing Dynasty. The ruins of Laosi Fortress are on the World Heritage list. The site is built on a mountain separated by a river and contains urban elements such as residential areas, city walls, roads, city gates, drainage systems, cool caves, and ancestral halls.
