If there are many people, you can charter a car after getting off the high-speed rail. It takes 3 hours to drive from Lijiang Station. Public transportation to Laojun Mountain is not very convenient. There is a bus from Lijiang Station to Liming Township, Yulong County, and then take a township bus to Houhongshizhai. It is not recommended because there are few buses and it takes a long time. On the way to Laojun Mountain, you will pass by Shigu Town (recommended for lunch, there is a Hui family there which is really nice~) and the First Bend of the Yangtze River. The scenery along the way is actually very nice (the riverside is full of rapeseed flowers in spring).
