The New Territories Cycle Trail from Tuen Mun to Ma On Shan will be completed in 2021, with a total length of 60 kilometers. Starting from Tuen Mun, it passes through Yuen Long, Sheung Shui, Fanling, Tai Po, Shatin and ends at Ma On Shan. Based on the average cycling speed, it would take more than 6 hours to complete the entire route. We set off at 9am and arrived at Ma On Shan at around 5am. We also had a break and some meals along the way. It was definitely not as tiring as we had imagined. We could enjoy the natural ecology along the way, especially from Yuen Long to Fanling. Tai Po was extremely crowded, so we recommend not going there during holidays.
