It is situated in Nipissing District, 80km north of North Bay. Lake Temagami is very large and there are many islands in the lake itself ~ making it a popular place for canoe trips 🛶 On many of the islands are camps, such as Camp Wabun. Children from all over North America travel to Temagami every summer to experience a slow paced life in the Canadian wilderness. They have the opportunity to go on canoe trips around many lakes in the area and camp along the way ⛺️ I had the opportunity to go on a short three day canoe trip around Lake Temagami. We canoed during the day, portaged over the land through the forest, and then set up camp and cooked our meals at night. Especially at night when the sun sets, the sky reflects vibrant bright shades of pinks, oranges and reds.
