Mt. Eniwa, which I posted about earlier, is a place where only a select few can reach the summit (as it requires high mountaineering skills), but Mt. Fuppushi is not that high at 1,102m above sea level, and the hiking trail is well-maintained, making it a somewhat easy mountain to climb even in winter. (Although winter mountains are still for advanced climbers...) On the other hand, there are magnificent views of Lake Shikotsu to the north and Mt. Tarumae to the south. Plus, skiing was a new experience! It is highly recommended to ski in Hokkaido during winter! The attractions in Biei are quite beautiful, and the snowy scenery has a unique charm! However, I strongly recommend self-driving (unless there is a severe snowstorm warning) because the public transportation between attractions is too sparse, and self-driving can save a lot of time! As for food in Sapporo, you must have a crab feast! This time, I tried Crab General, and it was excellent! The service was good, and the taste was top-notch.
