#getgoing2025 #Capeflattery #usa Driving to Cape Flattery was truly a rewarding experience. It’s a peninsula that offers some amazing views of the Pacific coast. The hike to the point is in a boardwalk fashion which is also fun. I spotted some sea lions here too. The path to the observation point is well laid out. I do recommend using hiking shoes here. Cape flattery does offer some real flattering views. It’s just too beautiful. The pictures I captured don’t do justice to how breathtaking it was. Do not miss this place if you are around Olympic National Park.

It took me 30 minutes to do the full trail. It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to the Olympic National Park. It is a little detour but it is worth it. It felt so peaceful and relaxing just to watch the waterfalls. There is plenty of parking available here. It’s only 0.8 miles with no elevation gain. I definitely recommend coming here.

The lake is so clean and pristine. You can even swim here and go to different hikes around it. The water is very cold but it is still worth trying. You can rent kayaks and canoes here and try that as well. If you are with your family, you can definitely do a picnic by the lake and enjoy the beautiful landscape. It’s a must visit spot in Olympic National Park.

Deer Park Heights is a scenic drive and animal encounter taking you through a working deer farm, 550 meters above Queenstown. Deer park heights originally opened in 1966 and has so much history and sights to offer. Stroll walkways or picnic at impressive alpine tarns at the top of the hill, enjoy this historic location at your own pace.

#celebratewithtrip Sequim, Washington is a beloved little town in the Olympic Peninsula that is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and lavender lovers. What makes Sequim so different is that it is one of the driest areas in Western Washington, which makes it the ideal location to grow lavender and other types of produce. The town is just over 6000 people, but the surrounding natural area attracts thousands of people annually to enjoy the best of nature and the small town life. Most people come to Washington to experience the array of locally caught seafood and also for the lavender session, unfortunately when I was here it not the session so not able to share much

#gooutside Mount Baldy is a magnificent mountain in the United States that can be seen well from Canada. It is in the same Olympic mountain range as internationally known Hurricane Ridge. Except for a few warm summer months, it's huge dome is usually covered in snow. It watches over the Straight of Juan de Fuca and the small city of Sequim. It is second only to Mnt. Olympus because it's snow melts while Mnt. Olympus maintains year around glaciers. It can be about an 8hr hike, or faster to the Summit and back. Off of Highway 101, Palo Alto road leads to Forest Service Rd 2870, then rd # 270. Park at the dead end where there are 2 trails. The left lower trail is brushy but the right upper trail is maintained. Take the right trail up through the Forest. It's steep but lovely. Proceed up out of the trees. Above tree line there is less vegetation and serene apline meadows. You will reach the high saddle ridge between 2 peaks. To reach the ridge can take about 3 hours from the parking lot. Go left to Baldy or right to Tyler peak. With another 2 hours of hiking West along the ridge, you will summit Mount Baldy! The vistas are breathtaking! To the North, you can see Canada, the straight of Juan de Fuca, The Dungeness Spit with its old working lighthouse, the small city of Sequim, Sequim Bay and Discovery Bay. To the East, West and South, you see places like Tyler peak, the Greywolf valley, Royal Basin, Mnt Mystery , Warrior Peak, peak no name, Deer Park, Deer ridge and more mountains and valleys! Hiking down takes about 3hrs or faster. The total time for an average hiker can be 8 hous or less. I believe it's totally worth it!
