I went to Hanoi, Vietnam for business in May this year. I have always heard that French cuisine in Vietnam is very famous, so I asked a local to recommend this one 🤣 I ordered a 5-course set from his place, the 5 dishes were: Salmon gravlax with citrus & pink peppercorn, ginger red onion & beetroot, iodized dill Chantilly, sesame crust Marinated salmon with citrus and red pepper, ginger and red onion and beetroot, iodized arugula and sweet cream, sesame crisps Scallops & prawns ravioli, grilled chorizo ​​& ratatouille, lemon leaf peanut crumble, smoked paprika bisque emulsion Scallops and shrimp French wontons, grilled Spanish sausage and Provence stew, lemon leaf peanut soufflé, smoked chili emulsified concentrate Duck foie gras terrine, lychee & red fruit frangipane in Amaretto liquor, blackcurrant glaze & saffron emulsion Duck goose liver sauce with lychee and raspberry amaretto juice, blackcurrant and saffron sauce Lacquered five peppers Australian beef tenderloin, truffle oil pea risotto & mustard mushroom duxelle Black pepper Australian beef fillet with truffle oil green bean pasta and French mustard mushroom puree Thyme raspberry & strawberry crumble, violet lime sorbet Thyme Raspberry and Strawberry Soufflé, Lemon Sorbet The whole meal is a complete impact on the taste buds, you see each dish is very complex, you can see that French cuisine is very attention to the combination of ingredients and the plate is very exquisite. And the most surprising thing to me is that each bite with a different sauce taste will be very different, but all very match😳🤤 The first time to eat is going to eat very looking forward to what the next bite tastes, even The whole meal took two or three hours but I was still excited 🤣 If there is any reason that would drive me to visit Hanoi again, I think it must be its French restaurant🤤 If you have the chance, you must try it! ! We went directly without a reservation, and when we arrived at lunchtime, it was already full, so it seems that locals really like it here. The set menu is affordable and suitable for all ages. After eating, you can also take a walk on the nearby train street. 2️⃣ La Badiane (French cuisine) 🥂 The French cuisine at this restaurant is very authentic, and although we went directly without a reservation, the wait time was not long. We ordered the 79W and 69W set menus, both of which included a variety of dishes: soup, salad, main course, dessert, and a glass of wine. I recently visited a French restaurant in Hanoi called La Badiane. The restaurant is renowned for its fine French cuisine and has a Michelin recommendation. That evening, I chose their 5-course Signature menu and had a wonderful dinner. Regarding the food, I can only describe it as "superb". Every dish is carefully prepared with fresh ingredients and tastes amazing. From appetizers to main courses to desserts, every bite exudes unique flavors and delicate textures. Especially their signature dishes which are simply unforgettable. The menu is excellent, with each dish having just the right amount of flavor and serving size. I especially like how they incorporate Vietnamese influences into their dishes, which adds a unique twist to French cuisine. The whole dining experience was very pleasant and I enjoyed a fine dinner in a comfortable environment. La Badiane is definitely worthy of the Michelin recommendation, their food and service are impeccable. The most important thing is that it is very cost-effective! We visited this restaurant as we wanted to try French dining cuisine. Tucked in a quiet corner in Hanoi Hoan Ki area. This place did not disappoint! Food was great. However, I was most impressed by the service at this restaurant which was simply outstanding. The waiters were so friendly and attentive to our needs. This place is worth visiting for the food and excellent service. Do note that there is a live band on Wednesdays and it totally elevates the entire ambience! Tried the degustation set menu and I would say it's absolutely lovely Lots of surprise flavours textures and superb presentation.
