It still retains the charm of a small village, just venturing into the wild world of international tourism. Getting there was not that easy. I went across on a fast ferry from Bali, and hired an overpriced scooter motorbike. A few hours travel down south and I arrived. The beach was beautiful. Warm water and gritty yellow sand, and, of course, plenty of people around to sell you a drink or snack. If you like surfing or diving, this is a great place to visit…or even if you just like a quiet pace to life. In the evening the town shuts down, with little late-night activity.
