However, halfway through the construction of the bridge, the evil spirit found that it could not defeat Hongfa Daishi, so it pretended to be a rooster crowing at sunrise to deceive Hongfa Daishi that it was already daybreak. Therefore, Hongfa Daishi had to stop building half of the bridge, leaving behind the bridge piers and walked away, thus forming the current "Qiaohangyan".
