A leisurely walk in the hot spring village 🌳 Kurpark
🌳 Kurpark, which means spa park in German, is a public park that opened in 1982 and is located in the center of Wiesbaden, Germany. Kurpark, which is a large park of about 75,000 square meters, has fountains, sculptures, gardens, and ponds.
🏞️ The park, which was built in the style of an English landscape park, has a lake where you can rent boats and a 6-meter high fountain. The garden's foliage includes magnolias, azaleas, and marsh cypresses. You can also see the original Kurhouse pillars that were demolished in 1907 to make way for the new Kurhouse building. Boat rentals are available on sunny summer days and are open until 6 p.m. You can enjoy a different leisure activity at Kurpark by rowing or pedaling. The lounge restaurant, where you can enjoy a meal while taking in the view of the pond and the park, is also open only in the summer.
🚌 From Wiesbaden Central Station, take bus number 37 or 16 and you will arrive in 15 minutes. It is about 2km from the central station to Kurpark, so it is a good idea to walk while enjoying the scenery of Wiesbaden.
