It's the essence of Marrakesh tourism… ❤️ Marrakesh Medina (Pics 1-4) Hidden within the labyrinthine alleys are countless handicraft shops: handmade leather goods 👜, carpets 🧶, copperware ⚱️, ceramics, spices 🫚……each one brimming with exotic charm! ❤️ Djemaa el-Fna (Pics 5-10) The old city houses Morocco's largest Berber market, adjacent to the busiest square in all of Africa—Djemaa el-Fna. It's the soul of Marrakesh. As night falls, the square becomes brilliantly illuminated and bustling with activity, a vibrant spectacle of human life. ❤️ Koutoubia Mosque 🕌 (Pics 11-14) One of the most beautiful buildings in North Africa. When the minaret was built, a large amount of precious spices were mixed into the mortar used to bind the stones. This gives the mosque a rich aroma that persists to this day, earning it the nickname "Fragrant Tower." 🌟 Other famous attractions include the Bahia Palace, the Badi Palace, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, and the Majorelle Garden. The first three require entrance fees, but honestly, they're not that impressive, so I don't recommend them. The latter requires advance online booking, but I personally don't think it's worth the price. You're better off choosing a beautiful riad for taking photos 📷. 🐂 Food: Tagine 🥘 (Pics 19-20) Tagine originates from the ingenuity of the Berber people. Desert 🏜️ life is characterized by a scarcity of water and fuel, and this unique cone-shaped pot was born out of necessity. The beef is stewed until incredibly tender, melting in your mouth. The blend of spices is just right, and every bite offers a symphony of flavors on your tongue 👏. 🏡 Accommodation: When in Morocco, how can you not experience a uniquely charming riad❓ "📍Hotel Central Palace" averages 💰100/night (Pics 15-18) Prime location in the heart of Marrakesh Medina. ✨ The word "Riad" means "garden" in Arabic and is also a general term for traditional Moroccan houses. 🟩⬜️ Stepping into the courtyard, the central pool is paved with traditional mosaic tiles. The intricate arrangement of geometric patterns and the unique blue-green color scheme complement each other perfectly, outlining the unique beauty of Moroccan style. The clear pool water shimmers warmly in the afternoon sun, contrasting sharply with the surrounding greenery, creating a feast for the eyes and senses. The decorations around the courtyard are distinctly local, with tall arches and hand-carved wooden doors exuding a strong North African charm. 💡Tips: I found Morocco to be quite safe. For women, it's best to return to your accommodation early in the evening. I met many kind people along the way. Just be aware of your surroundings, and there's no need to worry too much ❤️

A significant place for religious activities, one of the tallest, most beautiful, and largest mosques in Marrakech is the Koutoubia Mosque, a spiritual beacon built in the 12th century during the Hispano-Moresque period. It is known for its luxurious simplicity, crafted by the Almohad dynasty using pink stones to construct the walls, including a rose-colored tower that stands 77.3 meters tall, adorned with a golden arrow and sphere at the top, visible from up to 25 kilometers away, and surrounded by a garden of green and red roses. The interior is decorated in a modern style, with pointed arch windows embellished with ceramics, and the halls are well-divided for various events. The construction of this masjid took over 40 years, starting from 1150 AD, and the prayer room can accommodate up to 25,000 people. Unfortunately, this place was severely affected by a major earthquake in Morocco at the beginning of September 2023.
