This time I chose to go to the Akizuki Castle ruins in the south of Fukuoka to experience the beauty of the red leaves. The photo shoot took place on December 1st. It takes 45 minutes to drive from Fukuoka City to Akizuki Castle Ruins. Before setting off, I checked the autumn leaves forecast online, which was quite accurate. This is a glamping facility in Asakura City, just a little ways from Hita! I stayed here for one night, and the showers were clean and the facilities were great! At night, we had a barbecue, and the meat was delicious. It's deep in the mountains, so it's not too noisy, and I went there in the spring, and it was very cool. #Fukuoka Attractions Kōtokuin Temple is full of cleverly arranged stones that form lifelike hills and streams. Although there is no flowing water or vegetation, it is cleverly shaped into a tranquil picture full of Zen. I couldn't help but stop and watch, and be mesmerized by it. Just as I was admiring the miniature landscape made up of these stones, I suddenly noticed an old lady in a kimono sitting in the corner. 👵 She was concentrating on making tea and drinking it leisurely, as if she was completely immersed in this Zen atmosphere. I couldn't help but walk closer to observe her and found that her expression was so peaceful and her eyes revealed incomparable wisdom. I sighed, this old man must be a frequent visitor to this place and knows every detail of it. Later I found a young man in another place who was carefully pruning the bushes in the dry landscape. 👨🔧 It seems that the managers here are very dedicated and hope to maintain this natural art work that combines Zen and poetry.

It was my first time to see something like this, and I just watched it without knowing when it would be the last time lol There were various food stalls, and I ate yakitori (beef tongue and pork belly), takoyaki, cream soda, and strawberry shavings! The gardens of Jijutsu-in Temple are carefully designed with small bridges, flowing water, stone pagodas and green trees surrounding them, creating an elegant and balanced landscape. Here, I can meditate and live in harmony with nature. The monks at the temple were very friendly and kind, answering my questions and sharing wisdom about Buddhism. Fumon-in is a place to seek inner peace and inspiration, and I highly recommend everyone to experience this temple full of wisdom and tranquility for themselves, to feel the spirituality and peace.

The castle and the city built around it are small (you can get around them in one day), but here you can feel the living breath of history. How to get there Akizuki Castle is located 45 minutes from Fukuoka. You can get there by train, bus or car. Take the JR Kagoshima Railway Line from Hakata Station to Kiyama Station and transfer to the Amagi Line to Amagi Station, then take the bus. A charming city with a rich history There is a breath of history in the city and Akizuki Castle. The castle was built in 1203 and rebuilt several times. They lived here until the beginning of the Meiji era (1873). In addition, the most beautiful sakura of Fukuoka Prefecture grows on Sugi no Baba. Every spring, the trees shower the street with white and pink petals. Cedars used to grow here, but in honor of the victory in the Russian-Japanese War, cherries were planted in their place. A secret fortress at the top of the mountain A three-hour walk will take you from the city center to the top of Kose Mountain and the ruins of Akizuki Fortress. In 1958, these places inspired Akira Kurosawa to create the film "The Hidden Fortress". This picture also played a significant role in modern pop culture, influencing, in turn, George Lucas when he wrote the script for the first series of "Star Wars".
