Experience a Colorful Time Travel at the Stamp Museum on the 2nd Floor
Today, just after 3 PM, I visited the Stamp Museum and discovered the grand stories encapsulated in small pieces of paper. The special exhibition of world cultural stamps on the 2nd floor showcased works from over 100 countries, ranging from African tribal patterns to Nordic mythology stamps, which was a feast for the eyes! The solar-reactive stamp corner was fascinating as hidden images appeared when exposed to light, and it was fun to check them out directly with my smartphone flash.
📌 Points for Solo Travelers
Recommended Experience: Create Your Own Stamp (30 minutes, 7,000 KRW) → Design a stamp with your travel photos and receive a physical sticker.
Hidden Spot: 3rd Floor Rooftop Stamp Tower Observatory → A perfect spot for taking life shots with the cityscape framed by stamps.
Snack Recommendation: Museum 1st Floor Envelope-shaped Croffle + Rose Latte Set (9,800 KRW) → The jam inside the croffle bursts with colors like stamps.
🚨 Precautions
Solar stamp viewing requires a 15-minute interval for light reset.
Only PNG files are accepted for stamp creation (JPEG conversion not possible).
The observatory is windy, so a hat is essential.
Although I initially failed at the "My Face on a Stamp" experience, the staff corrected the photo with gradient adjustment technology, and it turned out great. Sticking the finished product on my passport case made my ordinary life feel special! As I left the museum, I participated in a limited edition stamp exchange event and obtained three 1990s Japanese stamps, which I proudly organized in my vintage album when I got home!
