Komodo National Park
Visiting Komodo National Park was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. I traveled to this magnificent island in Indonesia to explore the famous dragons and its rich biodiversity. The boat trip across the Pacific gave me the chance to witness the stunning beauty of the landscape and its captivating beaches. She explored the lush forests and mountain trails to reach the dragons' feeding and breeding areas. I learned about the importance of preserving this unique ecosystem and protecting its wildlife. Connecting with nature and learning about these unique creatures was an amazing experience. Komodo National Park is a special destination for wildlife and nature enthusiasts.

Komodo Dragon National Park
One of the best National Park in Indonesia which offer the only Komodo dragon experience. The park rangers are very friendly and informational. You have to have transportation to this island, normally with group tours or if you use live on board sailing boat tour will have option to get here. Tour with guides will last about 40 minutes which includes some photo shoot session in front of Komodo dragon you'll find along the way. Beware to follow park ranger instructions on the guided tour in the island.

I might not call myself an avid explorer but sometimes I like to try something crazy so I have something to tell my children in the future, my visit to Komodo National Park in 2019 was an awe-inspiring journey that left me breathless. Nestled in the heart of Indonesia, this natural wonderland is a sanctuary for unique wildlife and mesmerizing landscapes.
From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the legendary Komodo dragons 😂 well from far away because is a bit dangerous to get close to them, they are magnificent creatures that seemed like remnants from a lost world.
The vibrant coral reefs were a kaleidoscope of colors, teeming with marine life.
Getting to this paradise was a breeze, with various transportation options available, I booked a two day boat tour. Komodo National Park is truly a dream come true for any traveler who wants to get into the last mile.

Dragons and Diving:Epic Adventure in Komodo
👋 Hi everyone, I just came back from an amazing trip to Komodo Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Indonesia 🇮🇩
🐉 Komodo Islands are home to the largest living lizard on earth, the Komodo dragon. These creatures can grow up to 3 meters long and weigh up to 150 kg. They are also venomous and can run up to 20 km/h. I was lucky enough to see them up close on a guided trekking tour in Komodo National Park 🌳
🌊 But Komodo Islands are not only about dragons. They also have some of the most stunning marine life I've ever seen. I went snorkeling and diving in the crystal clear waters and saw colorful corals, turtles, manta rays, sharks, dolphins, and more 🐠
🏝 The islands also have beautiful beaches, some of them with pink sand. I loved relaxing on the shore and watching the sunset over the horizon 🌅
🙌 This trip was one of the best experiences of my life and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature and adventure. Komodo Islands are truly a paradise on earth 😍

Hike
What will reward you at the top is possibly the most beautiful sight in Indonesia. It’s only a 1 hour hike to get to the view point at the top, but it’s pretty steep with unstable ground.
To get to Padar island you will have to take a boat from the main land of Labuan Bajo which takes around 3 hours, but is usually combined with a trip to Komodo National Park. Take a look at the tour operators on Labuan Bajo and see which day trip best suits your schedule.
No trip to Komodo is complete without a selfie with the world’s largest lizard, and these are almost guaranteed in these sacred islands. The best place to see them is Rinca Island. Here, you can hike around the lush greenery while searching for these beautiful beasts.

This is the place where you found dragons
One of the national parks that you must visit!
It's in Indonesia located within the Lesser Sunda Islands in the border region between the provinces of East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara. The park includes the three larger islands Komodo, Padar and Rinca, and 26 smaller ones.
The most remarkable inhabitant of Komodo National Park is the Komodo Lizard, Varanus komodoensis. These giant lizards, existing no-where else in the world, are of great scientific interest, especially for their evolutionary implications. Most commonly known as 'Komodo Dragons', due to its appearance and aggressive behavior, the Komodo Lizard, is the largest living species of lizard, growing to an average length of 2 to 3 meters. The species is the last representative of a relic population of large lizards that once lived across Indonesia and Australia. As well as being home to the Komodo dragon, the Park provides a refuge for many other notable species such as the orange-footed scrub fowl, an endemic rat, and the Timor deer. The rich coral reefs of Komodo host a great diversity of species, and the strong currents of the sea attract the presence of sea turtles, whales, dolphins and dugongs.

This National Park located in East Nusa Tenggara is famous for 2 things, namely as the only place in the world where Komodo dragons live, and its charming natural scenery. There are 3 main islands (Komodo Island, Padar Island and Rinca Island), as well as other small islands that are included in the Komodo National Park area.

Fascinating komodo dragons
For decades, travelers have been enthralled by Komodo National Park, which is home to dinosaur-like Komodo Dragons on land and some of the world's best scuba diving underwater. It is one of the glories of the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and is currently included as one of the 7 New Wonders of Nature. Komodo National Park is made up of three main islands: Komodo Island, Rinca Island, and Padar Island (with other smaller neighboring islands) and is home to about 5,000 Komodo Dragons. Trust me, your Indonesian visit wouldn’t be called Indonesia trip if you haven’t been to this pride Indonesia has.

Komodo Resort
Komodo Resort had sixteen seafront bungalows with private bathrooms and terraces. They were kept impeccably clean. All meals were included in the cost of accommodation. Breakfast was by buffet, but lunch and dinner were served a la carte. The Chef specialized in Indonesian and Italian food. Incredibly, the resort had a pizza oven and we had a pizza night.
Completing our experience, the resort had a beach-side spa and bar. We loved ending our day with a massage, followed by drinks to watch the sunset. The overall vibe to this resort was beach bum meets tropical cocktails with umbrellas. The staff hangs out at the beach bar in the evening all the while making sure we had everything that we wanted or needed. It was a fantastic blend of excellent service and friendly, down to earth, people.

Meet Mr. Komodo!
This place is just absolutely stunning! It’s a big complex consisting of so many islands that you can visit, hike, and do hop on and hop off in between. My recommendation is to stay at least 3 Days 2 Nights at a cruise so you can explore and have all places to visit, hiking to the top of 3-4 islands to see the greatness in the morning for sunrise and afternoon for sunset at different place. There are so many cruise tour package with affordable price. Our trip to the Komodo National Park was amazing to say the least. Seeing these prehistoric and now rare Komodo Dragons was an out of this world experience. The world’s largest lizards and reptiles are indeed huge and very unique creatures! 🌿🍃🌳⛅️🌟 #nationalpark #urbanexplorer #komodo

Visiting Komodo was one of the best travel adventures I could ask for! We chose to explore it with Le Pirate and spent 5 days on a boat cruising around crystal lagoons.
The nature of Komodo is truly unique and spectacular and so it the wildlife.
We were lucky to swim with manta rays, see Komodo dragons and see thousands of bats flying from the mangroves into the sky at sunset.
One of the highlights was also sleeping on Le Pirate island which is home to a wonderful coral reef.
Komodo is definitely the highlight of our trip around Indonesia! #komodo #indonesia

Here you can see the different three island from the top! Have to hike up to the top . First 3 quarters part are stairs , pretty easy to walk . The rest are stones, sometimes can be slippery ! It’s pretty hard to climb up in hot weather. Even though the tour will organize this is the first stop , and begin there around 7:30-8am, still you will feel the hotness. Remember to bring water, hat !

Labuan banjo – Home of the Komodo Dragon
If you love the island, you must not miss Labuan Bajo
I originally planned to travel to Bali, but I was blown away by Padar Island. I immediately bought a domestic flight (about 4,000 round trip) to go to the home of the Komodo dragon. Once I arrived, everything was amazing, the endless blue sky. The recently renovated port cities are full of resort atmosphere. Whether you simply like the sea or want to go diving, this is a great choice. The local accommodation is new and cheap, the transportation is simple and convenient, and there are various online and beautiful restaurants. But the price is cheap. There are many shops selling itineraries along the road. If you are lucky, you can also book a discounted price. Life here means going to sea every day. There are countless diving spots to explore in the entire Komodo National Park, which is also highly recommended. On a 2-3 day liveaboard trip, you can explore various small islands, including one of the few pink sand beaches in the world, the sunrise at Padar Island Crescent Bay, the sunset with bats flying in the sky, Komodo dragons... and the opportunity to snorkel. See Manta!
It is recommended that everyone must experience a lot of touching things in their lifetime😍😍😍#beaches #Labraunbajo #komodo #100 Ways to Travel

The most beautiful national park in indonesia. Komodo National Park was a remarkable experience. Island hopping by sailing with phinisi boat is the best way to explore the whole place. This was 100% worth waking up at 4 am for this hike. Beautiful sunrise and views.
The park exemplifies "Wonderful Indonesia" and is a must-visit.
It can definitely get very crowded especially on weekends so try to avoid that or go super early because of heat.

Komodo National Park
#indonesiatrip
It's a great place to visit, weather is very dry, so there is not much green around, most of the nature is dried out, but it still looks beautiful. It's fun to see Komodo dragons, they were very lazy, just sunbathing on the beach. Still a beautiful and frightening animal to see. The park has couple of different trails from short to long that you can choose from to walk around with a guide. No one is permitted to walk around the park by themselves. Would very much recommend it to anyone who loves nature! And just a heads up, it's a national park, Komodo dragons are not in captivity so there is a chance that you won't run into them. Don't blame the guards it's just the way nature works 😊
