There are no accommodations on the island, you have to go there in the morning and return in the evening. It is located in Sattahip, Chonburi Province. This island is another one that we would like to recommend to our friends. It is not long to drive from Bangkok and then take a boat for a short while to find a peaceful island with white sandy beaches. You can lie down and watch the waves crashing on the shore. Or if you want to go snorkeling, you can kayak or ride a glass-bottom boat. There are many activities. The earliest boat trip is at 9 am and the latest boat trip from the island is at 4 pm. With the free time and the scorching hot weather in Thailand, what could be better than a trip to the beach? But just going to Bang Saen or Pattaya might seem a bit boring. So, let's take it up a notch and take a boat to 'Koh Kham' in Sattahip District. Let's start with arriving at the ticket booth at 7 AM (I went on a weekday), but the ticket sales start at 8 AM. No worries, it's better to be early than late. The ticket price is 250 baht, which includes shower service and mat rental. *For those who want to snorkel, you can rent the equipment for just 50 baht per set. After getting the ticket, get ready to board the boat. Here, walking is the main activity. There's a wooden bridge path to walk and enjoy the great atmosphere with a cool breeze. There are also spots for snorkeling and kayaking. But today, I'm just here to chill on the beach, enjoy the breeze, and take some photos. As for the return boat schedule, there are frequent trips back. It's best to check the exact schedule (I've included it in the last picture). It is a beautiful island not far from Bangkok. It takes about 2-3 hours to travel from Bangkok. When you reach the entrance of the navy base, there will be a navy officer at the gate to exchange ID cards for tourists who will enter the area. Drive in and there will be signs for Koh Samet Pier and Hat Nam Sai. The Koh Kham ticket office is located before the pier. The ticket price is 300 baht per person, paid in cash, no transfers. If you are going, please bring cash with you. This 300 baht includes the fare for the songthaew that takes you to and from the pier. At the ticket office, there are shops selling snacks, drinks, and food to tourists. When it is close to the departure time, the songthaew will take you to the pier. There will be an officer who will tell you which boat to take because there are boats from Koh Samet parked together. From Khao Ma Cho Pier to Koh Kham, it takes about 20 minutes. The highlight of Koh Kham is the wooden bridge, which is a walkway from one side of the frame to the other side of the island. The sea water is crystal clear and a beautiful blue color. On the island, there are places for tourists to sit and rest under the shade of various trees. There are places selling food, drinks and snacks. There are free restrooms and activities such as kayaking and snorkeling. Boat schedule 🚤 Mon-Fri. Depart at 09:00 and 11:00, return at 13:00 and 15:00. Sat-Sun, public holidays Depart at 09:00, 10:00, 11:00 and 12:00. Return at 13:00, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00. On the return trip, wait for the staff to announce again because there may be an additional boat for that trip. For me, it was a return trip at 12.30. The staff increased the trip and added 2 boats. This trip, we wanted to go to a crystal clear island near Bangkok, so we pinned Koh Kham, Sattahip, Chonburi. We started by staying on the mainland before waking up early to take a boat to the island. We didn't have to worry about parking because there were both public vans and parking at the pier. Before buying a ticket to the island, there was a 300 baht fee. You could go and choose to return at any time, but the last boat would be around 3 p.m. Since it's an island managed by the military, there are no accommodations on the island. However, the water is very clear in exchange. Activities on the island include rock climbing, which is really tiring, but the view from above is beautiful. Kayaking, snorkeling 🚨 While snorkeling, be careful of sea urchin thorns. I got one that time and it hurt so much that I had to ask the soldiers to give me first aid. They first washed it clean and then lightly hit the area where the thorn had stuck to dissolve the calcium in the thorn. It was an unforgettable experience. 😅 As for food on the island, there are fast food, instant noodles, soft drinks, and soda, so you don't have to worry about going hungry. 😋
