Just had a quick day trip to Kluang to try their famous rail coffee, and it did not disappoint! The coffee was rich and flavourful, with a perfect blend of sweetness. Their nasi lemak are worth trying too! Their sambal was so good as a spicy lover. The cozy, nostalgic vibe of the cafe made the experience even better. Definitely worth the visit for any coffee lover!

Address:KTM, Jalan Station, 86000 Kluang, Johor, Malaysia Do be careful, they have another outlet, but the real authentic one is the one located via the railway station. They have history pasted up on the walls of the coffee house. The food served here are simple real authentic local food like dry meesiam, nasi lemak, toast with butter and Kaya and eggs. The prices here are affordable starting from as low as 1.70RM. Do try the Meesiam and Nasi lemak. All their items are already packed and there is nothing you can add. Like I said, local and simple but really good!

Kluang Rail Coffee is a kopitiam with an environment replicates this scenario. Founded in the early 1900s by Lim Luan Hee, the kopitiam has been serving customers for over five generations. Kluang Rail Coffee opened its very first outlet (starting off as a canteen) at the Kluang railway station in 1938 in Jalan Stesen, Kluang, Johor. At the time, the railway formed the backbone of then Malaya’s transportation and communication network. Kluang Rail Coffee is the oldest railways kopitiam in Malaysia. The old and classic building where the cafe stood proved it all. It has the tastiest breads and buns ever! With so many flavours you can choose, the prices were too affordable you will ended up ordering more! We ordered chams and tea for drinks, the taste were amazing. For snacks we had butter+kaya, margarine+sugar toasties and fried wantons. All tasted so good I could still remember the tastes in my mouth 🤤

This is the iconic coffee shop in Kluang. It has been around since 1938 and recognized by the Malaysia Book of Record as the Oldest Railway Coffee Shop in Malaysia. Their first shop is located at the KTM Kluang Railway station. My dad used to bring us there for breakfast. I remember we like to use the saucer to drink milo because it’s too hot. Our typical order was kaya butter toast and half boiled eggs. Now they have a bigger branch in the town area. Their menu simply features local favourites such as Nasi Lemak, Mee Siam, Mee Rojak, Mee Rebus, Curry Puffs, Pulut Panggang and more. Delicious and reasonably priced. This traditional coffee shop was founded by Lim family in 1938, located at Kluang railway station with the nostalgic ambiance, reasonable price, you can enjoy varieties typical Malaysian breakfast here, Kluang Rail Coffee is best known for its traditional Hainanese coffee (made from locally grown Liberica beans) and its toasted buns (roti bakar) served with a rich slather of butter and kaya. My favorite are nasi lemak and coffee, sambal nasi lemak is very tasteful & aromatic, coffee has a nice medium body, not too bitter and balanced with a little sugar, it's a nice way to get the needed caffeine for the day! Kaya Butter Bun, Soft Boil Eggs & mini Nasi Lemak Charcoal toasted bun with thick slab of butter and fragrant kaya that is not sweet and butter. Soft boiled eggs were really fresh & done precise to get its runny taste. Nasi Lemak Bungkus is like a mini size version with fat anchovies & peanuts in sweet sambal.
