Review of Rama II Park (King Rama II Palace Museum)
Rama II Park is located in Amphoe Amphawa, Samut Songkhram Province. It is a historical park built to commemorate King Phutthaloetla Naphalai (Rama II), who was born in this area. This park is not only a historical site, but also an important cultural center of Thailand, presenting the lifestyle, art, and culture of the early Rattanakosin period.
Highlights of the visit:
1. King Rama II Palace Museum - Inside, there are exhibits about the art, culture, and way of life of Thai people during the reign of King Rama II, including arts and literature that were promoted during that time, such as Khon, Lakhon, and Thai literature.
2. Ancient Thai House - A wooden building in the ancient Thai style that was rebuilt based on the Thai house style during the reign of King Rama II, giving a feeling of going back to that era.
3. Beautiful Garden - There is a traditional Thai garden with many types of native trees and flowers, creating a peaceful and shady atmosphere, suitable for relaxing and walking.
4. Khon Activities - Some days, there will be Khon performances. Which is a performing art that was promoted during the reign of King Rama II
