Indonesia exceeded all expectations!
My recent trip to Indonesia made me realize that travel happiness is all about the details! 📦 I thought I was fully prepared before departure, but after landing, I discovered some small items were lifesavers. Sharing both my mistakes and discoveries with you all! 🌸

【3 Must-Dos Before You Go】
1⃣ AirAsia's baggage allowance is strict! 7 kg is not enough for women. Purchasing an extra 20 kg allowance online saved me over ¥300. Buying it at the airport is twice as expensive and involves long queues.
2⃣ The golden formula for island outfits: Sun protection shirt + quick-drying camisole + soft-soled shoes. I sweat through 3 T-shirts during the volcano hike. This combination is breathable and sun-protective.
3⃣ Download offline maps in advance. The signal on Nusa Penida is like a rollercoaster. Google Maps offline saved me 3 times.
【Practical Travel Items Checklist】
1⃣ Portable folding water bottle + thermos. The hotel kettles had suspicious limescale. Boiling my own water for tea was much more reassuring. The temperature difference between morning and evening is significant, and drinking warm water is very soothing.
2⃣ Mini first-aid kit (Important❗)
Motion sickness medicine + iodine swabs + mosquito repellent
The speedboat to Nusa Lembongan was like a pirate ship. Taking motion sickness medicine half an hour in advance prevented me from getting seasick.
Rinsing my eyes with saline solution was super convenient when volcanic ash got in them.
3⃣ Waterproof phone case + neck strap
When huge waves crashed on Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, my phone was safely dangling around my neck, taking photos.

【Volcano Viewpoint Guide】
📍Penanjakan Viewpoint 1: At 3 am, wrapped in a rented thick cotton coat, I watched the pink sunrise spread over the volcanoes. The camera couldn't capture a tenth of the beauty.
📍Kingkong Hill: The famous leaning tree has a half-hour queue. Actually, 200 meters ahead, there's an area of volcanic rock perfect for silhouette photos with a post-apocalyptic feel.
📍Seruni Point: The sea of clouds is within reach. Remember to bring wet wipes! Volcanic ash sticking to your eyelashes is super itchy.

【Tips from Experience】
✅ Bring enough 10,000 rupiah notes. Many toilets charge 3,000 rupiah per person. It's awkward when you don't have small change.
✅ Bring a travel adapter with USB ports. Charge your phone, power bank, and camera simultaneously. Power outlets in Bali often have poor connections.
✅ Pack several sealable bags. Store wet swimsuits/ash-covered outerwear to prevent your luggage from becoming a disaster zone on the way back.

The 6-person small group tour I joined was fantastic.🌺 The tour leader was like a real-life Google map, taking us on shortcuts to chase sunsets and even uncovering a local durian stall where we ate our fill for ¥20!
