The hotel is located near the old city area of Suzhou, only close to the Global Mall, making it very convenient for tourism and shopping.
1️⃣ The hotel is renovated from the old Zhuhui Hotel, and its scale is relatively small. Although the Suzhou garden style is retained in the design, due to the limitation of space, the public area is relatively small and looks a bit cramped.
2️⃣ The layout of the rooms is also not pleasing. To save space, the washbasin, bathtub, and bedroom are all open, which I can hardly accept this privacy design; the washbasin is very small. Generally, many hotels of this level have double basins, but this one only has one, which is quite stingy.
The rooms on the first floor are courtyard rooms, with a small courtyard outside the room, but the area is very small. Standing in the courtyard, the courtyard wall is within reach, which feels very narrow; so I immediately called to switch to a higher floor. Although there is no courtyard, I can see the scenery in the yard, which feels less depressing.
I don't know if it's because of the main structure of the old building, but the sound insulation in the room is not very good, and the sound in the corridor can be heard clearly.
3️⃣ One of the characteristics of Kimpton is dining, as its name is Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, breakfast and the bar are only used in the hotel, and they perform mediocrely. The breakfast variety is not rich, and the bar is somewhat boring. What's more outrageous is that we brought an eight-year-old girl, and we had to pay for her breakfast, which was already pitifully few in variety, and we had to pay more than two hundred for breakfast, which is really speechless
4️⃣ In terms of service, the hotel is not very satisfactory. Although the brand culture advocates personalized service, the most basic attention to the needs of guests has not been well practiced. No one helps to arrange seats in the breakfast restaurant; checking in can be deadly slow, they say it's due to lack of staff, then wait until there are enough staff before opening for business, letting guests wait from afternoon until dark before the room is cleaned, with a price of more than two thousand, where is not better to stay...
The farewell gift rabbit quality is not bad, I like it very much. 🤷 After leaving the store, the customer manager contacted me to ask about my stay experience. I didn't make a fuss. I made some suggestions, and then she didn't reply to me.
The overall stay experience is too disappointing. I feel that apart from the limitations of space and the building itself, this hotel still has many human-controllable parts, and there is also a lot of room for improvement.
