Kim Seng Park
#mysgmemories #tripblazers
The Kim Seng park is located at the great world city MRT station exit 2. The train station is on the Thomson east coast line. This is a great park for you to cycle, jog, and go for a brisk walk. The park is connected with the nearby district. There were also outdoor gym equipment to be used for free. Admission into the park is free entry. There are seats for you to rest if you are tired. There is also a swinging bench seat. The park is definitely a very relaxing park for everyone to enjoy. Do explore the park the next time you are in the area.

Hidden tunnel at Kim Seng Park
#mysgmemories #tripblazers
The tunnel is located a few minutes walk away from the Kim Seng park. The tunnel will bring you from the Kim Seng park all the way to the great world city area, and towards the Nanson road area. It reminds me of the tunnel that I have jogged before at the east coast park, as well as the kallang river park. The tunnel in this park seems to be shorter compared to both the tunnels within the park. On the weekends, and on a weekday evening, you would be able to see more people cycling and jogging around the area. If you are in that area, feel free to rent a bicycle and cycle in that area to explore there.

Authentic Malaysian street food
Address - Malaysia Chiak! Food Centre, 1 Kim Seng Promenade, B1-02/03, Great World Shopping Centre, Singapore 237994
We Singaporeans love our Malaysian food and it was a joy when Malaysia Chiak! Food Centre was opened here at Great World Shopping Centre! This place specializes in specifically Malaysian cuisine that we all know and love, including chilli ban mee and Penang carrot cake. Super tasty!
My suggestion is to try and get seats on the outer section along the sides so that when it gets crowded, you don’t pushed or squeezed up against by people walking past.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Heritage hawker noodles
Address - Eng's Wantan Noodle Restaurant, Great World Shopping Centre, 1 Kim Seng Promenade, B1-K122/123, Singapore 237994
With a rich heritage that lasted 68 years, Eng's Wantan Noodle initially started out at the Tanjong Katong area as a humble hawker stall serving noodles. They were known for their spicy chilli sauce and QQ texture of their noodles, which is a tradition that continues to be passed down till today.
Now, they have expanded to have 9 outlets all across Singapore so that more people can easily enjoy their yummy food! On top of that, it remains affordable.
My overall rating of the experience: 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A taste of Japan
Address - &JOY Dining Hall, Great World Shopping Centre, 1 Kim Seng Promenade, B1-132, Singapore 237994
Located in the basement of Great World Shopping Centre, &JOY Dining Hall is a all-in-one dine-in and takeout food destination! If you are missing the flavours of Japan, I highly recommend this place as it has all sorts of authentic Japanese cuisine available.
From ramen, to sushi, to Japanese beers served at their bar, you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice. The sushi selection also seemed endless and I had such a tough time deciding what to eat!
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I couldn’t wait to try the pastries here! I ordered a croissant and a bacon and cheese quiche. It was amazing, definitely eat it heated up and warm.

Ice cream sweet treats
Address - Softhaus Cafe, Great World Shopping Centre, 1 Kim Seng Promenade, B1-K135, Singapore 237994
At the basement level of Great World Shopping Centre, you can’t miss this pastel-coloured ice cream shop that stands out in the middle of the atrium! They have pretty interesting flavours on top of the usual classic flavours, like popcorn caramel and carrot cake.
But the most awesome thing about this dessert shop is the insane variety of toppings they have! Chocolate pearls, marshmallows, icing biscuits, the list goes on. Go wild with the mixing and matching here!
My overall rating of the experience: 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jiak Kim Bridge

Jiak Kim Bridge/Kim Seng Park
Address: River Valley Green, Singapore 237993
The bridge at Kim Seng Park is known as Jiak Kim bridge and you can cross this pedestrian/cyclist bridge from both sides of the river. The name of this bridge is derived from “Tan Jiak Kim, grandson of famous merchant and philanthropist Tan Kim Seng and son of Tan Beng Swee. He is also a prominent Straits-born Chinese merchant and political activist during the early 19th century.” This area is known as the River Valley. You can easily walk to Zion Road Food Centre and Great World City Shopping Centre.
Jiak Kim bridge was opened in 1999 and once you cross the bridge, you will arrive at Kim Seng Park. As to why it is called Kim Seng Park, the naming is very clear, it is after the famous philanthropist. Kim Seng Park is a nature playgarden by the River. You can read about it more on my next trip moment.
